I may be going down this exact same journey in a few months too. Interested to see how it goes for you!

So I have been using th 590 now since Jan on the regular and i can say that the feel of the glove the pocket position feels more similar to what I had in my Gnetik. When it comes to catching the puck I feel as though I'm having similar issues to when I used a 590 last which my revoke set from a long time ago. I found that the 600 break somehow found the puck in the pocket a bit more where as the 590 I have more that tend to bounce and not funnel into the pocket. I haven't used my 600 since December which is about 12 skates so I'm going to wait until my season is done in March and continue to use the 590 and if I'm still not fully adjusted and the 600 hasn't sold I am going to do some switching during pick up to see if I can spot what is really happening. Overall feel wise though I prefer the 590.

Also the wrist strap in both gloves is basically redundant for me as i have it as loose as possible lol. I just tighten the glove down over my knuckles

As a dude that rocked two different sets of that vintage of Reactors - respect. Love them.

I also had a set of these pads, to this day still one of my favourite pads I have owned and used!

I imagine the Vapour line in general outsells the Supreme line by a large margin. Most guys in the beer leagues around here aren't rocking Supreme gear if they're wearing Bauer. Hell, Warrior and Brians are more common place than seeing guys in a Supreme leg pad.

I've only seen someone wear an actual Mach pad (not M5) on the ice twice. Once was myself.

Agreed on this, I think I have seen one person rocking a Mach pad everything else Bauer seems to be the vapor line.

I am curious to try the glove out though!

If all goes well actually I will have two skates back to back on Thursday so will use the 600 first and then the 590 on the second. However from wearing it around the house I'm fairly certain the 590 is what i am after

Have had a chance to get a set of Iconiks on the ice a few times, thought I’d give some feedback.

pads: similar to Gnetik Vs but noticeably lighter. The sliding on them is insane, probably the best sliding pad I’ve used (compared to V10, V9, SLR3, Optik 3, Gnetik V, PX3). The flex is nice, and the strapping is great and super simple. I removed the professor and boot straps, so all it is is toe ties, one calf wrap strap, and the knee strap. Overall solid improvements on the Gnetik V.

glove: very comfortable and light, great closure, but I just can’t get used to the break angle on Brian’s gloves.

blocker: also very light and comfortable. Rebounds though we’re not as hot as I’d hoped but not terrible.

all in all they made some solid improvements, not really anything bad to say except the sliding was almost too much at times and was hard to control occasionally.

I had a chance to try on the glove this week and it doesn't feel anything like my original Gnetik but does feel similar to the models previous

  6. So I got my set back in the spring and I ordered it with a 600 break glove.

Build quality is great on the 600 and closure is good but I just could not adjust to the glove break or pocket positioning from my old Brian's Gnetik glove. One game would be perfect and then the next I would be brutal with it. So decided to place an order for a 590 and 4 weeks later she showed up today!

Looking forward to getting on the ice next week.

Wedge and twist are very different. The bottom of the blade is much rounder on twist and the blade has more curve. They're pretty similar in how much they open but I've always struggled to deflect pucks until I switched to a wedge curve.

You're correct Crawford is similar if not the same as a Warrior twist. Price is the same as warrior wedge

There's definitely something different between the EF5 Price curve and V3 Wedge curve. I've never been able to put my finger on it but the lie might be the answer

That makes complete sense for the twist and wedge, I was thinking twist and mid LMFAO 🤣

  8. Looking at the curves, I know the blade pattern difference compared to CCM and over brands but is there much of a difference between the wedge and the twist. Looking at them they don't seem to be drastically different from inter-web pictures lol.

I'm currently a CCM Crawford user which if I am correct is closer to the twist.

Are the True sticks really that fragile and bad? I'm in the market for new twigs and was looking between Warrior V2 and True 9x but am leaning Warrior based on what I've been reading and heard.

  10. Fair enough so to stick with a stick that has a more traditional feel go with the V series.

Sizing wise if I am in a 26" CCM now I would have to jump up to the 27.5 in warrior to match is that correct?

  11. I'm having a hard time distinguishing between the differences on the V and M lines. I've been long time CCM stick user but need to upgrade and I used a buddies Warrior at shinny for a few weeks and it felt nice. I've heard they are great sticks but for the life of me I can not understand the differences in lines. Any help would be amazing.

On a side not I don't care for the newer CCM sticks, I was using the old Premier line and had purchased 4 of them when they were on sale a while back and finally have gone through them.

I have 'em too (and have also only been in Brian's gloves for like 10-15 years). My side bit here is that I have intermediate internals so all gloves feel strange to me. When I last got to try a 600, it felt a little different from both to me is my main point. My opinions are of course not fact.

I would also second this. As I recently have gone from a Gnetik to a True 600 and I can say that the placement of the pocket and how it closes is closer to a 590 then 600 on the Brian's Gnetik which is now Iconik
