How'd you find it with the foam? I'm on the ice tomorrow for the first time after my shop replaced the skates for me due to the clip issue.

I'm coming from Bauer 2S Pro skates and with how skinny my ankles are, I got into the habit of lightly taping them with sock tape to my ankles and didn't notice it hindering mobility. Debating doing the same with these, as the ankle simply doesn't ratchet tight enough for my liking. It's not a leg strength issue, I just have twig legs.

I’m still waiting for the ones I ordered on august 4th. Not sure that’s taking so long.

I spoke much too soon on my initial impressions. If we were concerned about the buckles and their longevity, this is an immediate concern from Bauer. Not been on the ice once, picked them up about 3 hours ago.

The shell is thermomoldable too. Like @ThatCarGuy the retailers should be coached in all sorts tricks to widen the toe box of the outer shell.

Skates also come with a pack of pad things  to help stretch the boot

Do the skates each come with the shims and toe expansion or does the dealer just have it with their fitting kit?

there's a new pro pack coming??

i see their base version is no longer made so i'm guessing the new pro will be even more expensive and the current pro pack will be the new base version?

I ended up just getting a custom optik2 chesty instead of waiting

Glad it worked out then.  That could be pretty ballsy for a salesman to go against what Bauer's programming is suggesting.

Yeah I think the fit 1 wouldn’t been to tight. I was in 2x pro 11D before these. They also can’t be returned so glad they worked out. I’d be interested to try on a pair of fit 1 but nobody locally has my size. Fit 2 is pretty much the standard. Fit 1 for super narrow foot and fit 3 for wide feet

  6. Played tonight with them and they felt pretty good. Stock insoles, normal lacing to top eyelets, no lace bite, no ankle pain. The agility profile was fine and had no issues with 5/8 sharpening. Only thing that hurt a bit was the bottoms of my feet in the arch area. It wasn’t bad pain but noticeable. Not sure if the actual fit 1 would be better for this issue or what? Toes are close to the toe cap esp in the right skate but not cramped. I might try them with my super feet next time out just to see

  7. I just picked these up Thursday and will be skating with them Sunday. I’m coming from 2x pro 11D. I got the new ones in 11 fit 2. So far I’d say they feel pretty good just baking them and walking around. There’s a lot of cushion in the ankle and tongue. I usually lace my skates outside in and do the lock loop at top. Also had super feet comfort on my 2x. I’m going to try these new ones laced regular and stock foot beds and see how it goes. Also the blade profile is different so I hope I’ll like it. I did 5/8 sharpening that I did on my 2x.
