Those are some nice pants! could you tell me what the "Halak beef up" entails?

Extra padding in the thigh and hip area. Only thing I requested that they missed was to remove some of the lower interior mesh that gets caught on my Brian’s knee pad Velcro. Can’t wait to get these on the ice. Def more protection than my standard optik1 pants and the internal belt will be something new to try. I don’t tuck and currently use a Passau pro pack chesty. I might get a optik2 chesty to try.

  2. Love my optik2. I have 2 sets, one stock TGC spec and my customs. My ATK is about 19.25” and I’m using 35+1.5 pads. Glove I did 1” deeper anchor t with reenforcement and skate lace pocket. Block is stock with lexan face and primo finger binding. Legs have full primo skate landing, gnetik4 knee cradle, stock breaks, slim offset toe bridge, and unused graphic zones removed. Rebound fly off the legs and blocker and the glove is a black hole where pucks go to die. Love this lineup a lot.

The knee landing is custom. It's thicker padding inside the landing itself and SBA grip on the surface.

The triple Anderson padding is perfect for me. It's the spec I have been most chasing.

Good to know. Is the knee landing sane material as gnetik4? I did a gnetik4 knee on my optik2 with extra foam.

i changed my custom blocker order to single Anderson pad because the stock blocker is pretty snug already on me. Requested to switch the palms from xl back to standard after using the stock gloves a few games and how great they feel I’m afraid the xl palms will be too big.

Came out awesome! Still would love to know how you got yours so soon when the release date is nov.1 and the earliest custom slot was dec 2??? I’ve ordered custom sets for years, multiple set per yr, and still never that quick.

If you move to a smaller pad, your knee would probably hit on the green line on a small pad. If you don't want to buy new pads, I could suggest trying some looser strapping so the pads falls down on your a bit and lands higher on stack as you butterfly.

This is why I personally am not a big ATK guy. I think your comfort level in the pads, how you strap them, and how wide your butterfly is can all effect how the knee stack works

I have 36+1.5 gnetik iv now and getting 35+1.5 optik 2

    Standing or sitting??

Also, can you please answer my previous questions?

    1. Do you have issues where you feel like your pads are too tall?

    2. Does your knee fall off the stack?

Standing. I don’t fall out of the cradle no. 36 feels on the taller side. 35 might give me better mobility and keep a slim knee Pad. I’m using the stock brians knee pads with Bauer g form sleeves but need a softer knee pad cause my knees have been sore.

How are you measuring? Everyone defines this differently. I can be between 17.5" and 19.5" depending on which ATK technique used.

Also, this is somewhat a matter of preference honestly.

    1. Do you have issues where you feel like your pads are too tall?

    2. Does your knee fall off the stack?

If the answer to both of those questions is NO, you're in the right size for you. Moving the knee block 1" probably is going to make or break your pad experience if you don't have issues

I measure from center knee cap to center ankle bone with slight bend in the leg.
