What is the main difference? Just more emphasis on movement?

in my perspective, it’s knowing how to do basic movements the right way so you can build that power up in the long run to do more complex movements the right way with less energy wasted. The off ice stuff I do emphasizes that as well. Things like that…

So with those 5 links we've covered:

    • media
    • 2 hockey organizational bodies
    • A reputable goalie coach who's been coaching 30+(?) years
    • two NHL alum (one of whom is arguably GOAT)

who all agree the European goalie development model is better than the North American one.

Thanks for posting those articles here. It should put to rest whatever that guy pulled out of his ass.

As someone who has and is being coached by a european goalie coach the past several months, I can say for a fact that it’s a game changer. I wish I was coached this way sooner.

Of course he's wrong. There's 4 in the past twenty two years.

    Niemi, Vasilevsky, Khabibulin, and Hasek.

But he's intentionally putting in nonsense filters that exempt vasi's winning years.

Yeah, that’s what I thought. Unreal

Where was i proven wrong? Name me any starters from outside of North America thats won a Cup in the past FIFTY straight years when a normal full 82 game season is played..... 3 total?!.  Wow, i was proven wrong..  lmfao

So what? And tell me what evidence backs that up, cause there's no way it's only 3. We've seen north american goaltenders such as Kuemper win a cup when he stole maybe a handful of games for the Avs max. Not hating on Kuemper at all but it's just the facts. He was on a very good team that SHOULD have won the cup, and they did. And Vasy JUST won two straight cups, almost 3. Even still, we've seen that especially recently it doesn't even matter what nationality NHL goaltenders are to win/be successful. Look at the rise in success in european goalies. Championships among those goalies will rise soon enough

You've been around here long enough. This shouldn't be a surprise.

True. But I haven’t been as active for the last few months. I just can’t believe this classifies as “harassment” 😂😂

  7. I cant believe an argument started by “only north-american goalie can win cup” got this far and kept insisting on it even after proven wrong lol (obviously) then claims it’s harassment when he makes baseless claims like “you don’t know goalies” 🤦‍♀️

Terrible? Okay. He has had to play on shitty devils and coyotes teams his entire career seeing almost 50 shots a game with many high end chances. To have numbers like these doing that is impressive and since being on a mediocre Dallas team he appeared better stat wise. With any amount of defensive help in front of him he would have more attractive numbers. As for his age, goalies always have developed slower and many starters are around 30. Younger goalies actually playing in the NHL is a newer trend

I'm glad that even as a backup now he's recognized as a solid goalie for Dallas. As a Devils fan, he had a bit of a rough time but it didn't help he was basically thrown onto not very good teams from the start. I think he's a good goalie, just has an iffy game once and a while

I don’t bother with lizard skinz anymore. They rip and tear if you use them often enough. And the goaliepro has only regular so, I am currently wearing this

… and a picture of the front, for some reason their website doesn’t include it lol. They also have a full finger version but don’t have it for the right hand.

I think it would’ve been better as a straight X, but I don’t mind it. I honestly don’t think the color zones are being used in the most flattering way

Jeez. Some of you guys grow fast. And dude should be careful talking about how short he is to shorter people, but it’s funny to think that even I’m taller than some full grown people here 😂

@southpawtendy48 - HA - depending on how it is in your neck of the woods I didn't want to assume beer league was "competitive" so I was lumping all the other stuff outside of that realm. Either way - good luck mending up (and hope your pops is in a much better spot today than months ago).

Well, competitiveness varies even in adult league, even still it’s a good and fun challenge for me more often than not.

And thanks for the last comment, he is doing way better these days :)
