  1. From what i have been told, please correct me if this is wrong. Calf bracket: Think stabilislide but for the calf plate. Pictures above: Calf support system is the supreme equivalent of the balance plate from hyperlite. Tune fit + is the new strapping.
  2. #2 with a jets or leafs jersey would be really sick
  3. Honestly, I dare you ahahha
  4. Ullmark is the first that came to my mind.
  5. Well well well, how the turn tables... Jokes aside, "glad" you are back on this sub. They are right though, Pads do not need outer roll breaks. All they do is help your pad to change shape in the long run, since the point of a solid outer roll is to "spring" the pad back in its original shape after it flexed. The Hyperlite (soft flex) is really flexible, without any outer break. Here is some proof about the popularity of the no outer-break spec at a pro level, using brands that actually offer the option of course. I could go on. Younger goalies have less gear inertia, they are more willing to try new tech. And it's ok. You can want an old style pad. Same as the foam core sticks... you can still say they are better, but I spent 400$ in foam core sticks in one season in junior B, and I am still on my first of two UltraSonic stick after two whole seasons, and I'm getting the same ice times. You don't have to evolve if you don't want to, but don't blame us for following the market evolution.
  6. I love how no one says one, but pretty much everyone I know in real live say #1 . Good thing I’m not ordering for a little while, I have no clue what to get.
  7. The cuff piece on the US is molded and much tighter, really liked the feel. The new cuff looks much more open, too open for my liking. I could go hyperlite for the blocker, but did not particularly like my experience with the 2x pro blocker, I'm really a supreme guy for the board so in my case it's mach or nothing.
  8. By the name of the spec, I figured what it was. Switched to stabilislide and never looked back in 2020, With the way I strap my pads I don't feel my inner calf wrap anyways. My mindset it typically to always go with the new tech. Sad we cannot get an UltraSonic blocker build, but we can order an UltraSonic Glove at pro custom. I would defenitely get US build on blocker if I could. Yes, I'm more picky on blockers call me crazy.
  9. Haven't seen this posted anywhere, but Merlzy brought back the MACH stick VS the jets.
  10. Especially since a 600, a Supreme, or the 75° warrior feel different, despite the break being at the same "angle"
  11. Exactly what I feel like with the Bauers as well. They are 1x bulky but feel like the old supremes.
  12. Little update for my choices, I played a bit more with the customizer, got up to 5 possibilities, narrowed it back down to 3. Here they are; Again, eager to hear what you guys think, I wear a plain Rangers jersey. These all feel like good choices IMO.
  13. Nasty setup! Personnally was leaning towards 1. First time in years I don't know what to order as soon as I saw the graphic.
  14. They are in the graphic of the blocker and pads as well. Looks cool; it makes zone 1 bleed into the top zone
  15. I feel like it's hard to keep the same color balance on the glove. This is my favourite graphic since the 1s, but the UltraSonic had something that made each piece of the set really balanced.
  16. Hello all, I will pull the trigger on a mach set before next season starts, waiting for some personnal stuff. So 1, 2 or 3? Current set is on my profile picture, trying to keep the same style.
  17. Smart move, never thought that. When I worked retail I was one of those telling customers I didn’t know anything, even when I knew
  18. Pulse TI is awesome, I hit the post at least 20-30 times per games and barely any scuffing after the first sharpening. I do a 3/4" radius about once every 6-7 games, up from 3-4 with a ls5
  19. I know… I’m a mechanical engineer. When analyzing an impact, force and speed of the object are intrinsically linked because momentum is mass • velocity. Now, a good shooter will have a more stable puck, so it will reduce air friction and reach the target a higher speed. Thing is, if the mecanism were to be stiffer, it would not be as easy to use, and too soft it wouldn’t hold the blade in. Take into account that no two holders will end up identical because of tolerancing, you could have a slightly smaller trigger piece or a wider cavity, etc. Not saying it’s perfect, but as I said, I have a big enough sample size to say that it works well (not perfectly).
  20. You guys are aware of the force an NHLer shot has compared to us mortals? Jokes aside, back when I was selling the product, I was iffy about the holder back in 2016. I sold enough over the years (stopped working retail in 2020) to know it’s really good enough, never heard consumers consistently having a hard time with it. I am using it myself and never had a pop-out.
  21. Sadly my employer doesn’t allow having multiple paychecks… and I love my weekends now, worked weekends for 5 and a half years non stop with college/university at the same time!
