So if you get a 590 closure you get finger stalls?

That's right, what Coop said. With finger stalls.

I got to say though, compare to my Axis 1 the glove is stiff AF ha.

Yeah, attached is picture of my gear.. getting some nasty stingers in the x900 glove and pads are kind of beat up

The x900 is more of an intermediate glove, go pro maybe. But, best thing to do is catch pucks in your pocket.

Oh okay, you didnt like the 591 stock one?

Tried it in store, and wasn't a fan of it. I have intermediate hands and didn't want to take a chance as well. Something about not having finger stalls freaked me out lol. Plus the closure felt more of like a 600 to me.

Why you asking? You in the market for something new?

I just yesterday had a chance to check some gear while I had my steels sharpened and there were Axis 2.9 and Axis 2 gloves and yes I tried them first. Cheez they were stiff, like STIFF. And more stiff than that. I wasn't able to close any of the four samples there were. The closest I got was about an inch open. Sure I could close them with a bit of help from my other hand but. Yeah.

And that said I don't have to say anything about how much I was able to open them. No I wasn't.

Other than that I couldn't say they felt bad or odd. The angles of them and not just break angle were a different story and I might have some trouble getting into that. Not even close to the traditional 590 shape. But I'm not saying it would be bad. Just that it felt and looked a lot more different than I would've expected.

I have intermediate hands and was able to close it, not sure what was your issue. Either way, gloves need a little work and some sweat. The Axis 1 for me is like butter.

The 591 does have a different closure than the 590, it's different. But it's new innovation for ccm, not for everyone.

Well in the past year I've gotten married, changed jobs, bought a new place, became a landlord, and had my first kid, and won a championship.

I'm honestly not too sure what else I can do for the next 12 months to beat that?

Congratulations on the kid and everything!

Just purchased the Bauer konekt and have wide feet coming from a true custom.  During the baking  process the skates felt snug and I did not have any hot spots.  I played my first game last night and the flex was amazing. It really is a game changer. Now for the bad news…I had 2 major hot spots below the ankle on both on the inner and outer foot for each foot.  The skates hurt like hell by the end.  My Trues did not have one hot spot.  I’m going to rebake with shims and see how much I can widen the exterior boot.  Also your foot does slide a bit due to no laces.  I’m going to try to crank them down next skate.  More to come…

You have customs, I would never even spend that money on a new skate.  I have my ccm customs and not even going going to go there, but hopefully it works out.

Are your Trues falling apart at all?

Not gonna lie... when I saw the first picture of the set as a whole... the color scheme you chose coupled with the tonal logos was curious to me... to say the least. But after seeing the close-ups I'd agree it turned out well. Good to see the touch of gold with the embroidery and contrasting stitchwork.

Your functional specs of course are right in line with what I would have chosen. While the stiffness and rebounds aren't what you've experienced with Mach... I'll be interested to hear how well the stiffness Axis2 does have holds up. My Axis1 set has softened up at the thigh from last year as you'd expect them to, but they're still performing well.

Also... when will we get a video of @ZeroGravitas with a shaved head and a tie showing us how he uses a baseball glove steamer like this guy?? A carabiner with your keys attached clipped to a belt loop is also an absolute must.

My Axis 1 curved a little as well on top which I'm not complaining to be honest, I like it.. and rebounds still kick fairly well. My 2s should be in soon, can't wait.

I get it. However, it is odd to see that Passau mentions that there could be production delays for full right gloves.

Very odd, maybe the righty guy takes a lot of vacations? 🤣

When did you order? I ordered on 6/10.

Minor tweaks everything: went with tight fit leg channel instead of loose. Went with a boot strap almost solely so I have an attachment point for my Kenesky pad carrying strap.

Catcher is 580 with pro palm. Blocker is stock with straight instead of curved finger protection.

69% of the reason why I went 580 was to have something to let customers try when they were interested in a 580.

June 22, might need to wait another week for mine.

Do full right gloves affect custom production time? I only saw warnings on Passau's website about full right equipment causing production delays.

Don't think they would, why would they.

    88 days for Axis 2.
    12 weeks, 4 days.

Closure on the 580 catcher is surprisingly smooth out of the box.

So mine is coming soon too?

What size you go with? Stock features? I ended up with the 590.

Skated this morning and the wire popped out of the buckle again. Pretty annoying to have it happen 5 minutes into a pickup, just after warmups. Didn't bother to stop and fix it. Had a game over the weekend where it stayed in place. Oh well.

Replacement buckle came today after my morning skate. Easy swap - just rotate the buckle (lefty loosey) and put the new one on (righty tighty). New buckle doesn't have an arrow on it to show which side is up. Hopefully this won't happen again.
