Stick blade tape waxing

I know forwards do it and I understand why. Seeing how some of us goalies are handling and playing the puck more as we advance, has anyone been doing it, and what are your results?

I've always waxed my blade tape. Helps it keep snow off and keeps the tape longer.  Ive literally only retaped my blades every 2-3 years

So is that rubbed on or dipped? lolll

I double tape my blade. First layer of wax gets hit with a torch to soak it in and then I'll top that with another layer and work it in with my thumb. I've got 3 seasons on my current tape job.
