Vaughn Ventus LT98 vs SLR vs SLR2

I have been using a Vaughn Ventus LT98 catch glove for a while now and really like the weight, feel and style of the glove. In the past I’ve used the 9500 and LT90 as well. All three seem to be relatives of the Vision 5500. I’d like to get another LT98 glove but it’s naturally getting harder to find them not only in good condition but also in the color I’m looking for. With the release of the SLR3 and V9 I’m starting to see a lot of SLR and SLR2 gloves pop up on the used equipment market.  My problem is that being in central North Carolina I have no opportunity to try out any of these gloves to see how closely they feel to my LT98. So that’s where you all come in… can anyone tell me how closely related the LT98 feels to the SLR/SLR2 (traditional two piece cuff not the single piece cuff in the XT models). I know there wasn’t much difference between the LT90 and LT98 other than the LT98 felt lighter and the wrist strap was positioned differently - what I’ve read is that the SLR gloves have a smaller cuff and larger catching area - can anyone speak to that? Would I hate using one? And should just keep looking for another LT98? Or will it be a “if you like this you’re gonna love that!”

thanks!

I had a LT90 for a few years and most of the SLR stuff I've tried off of the shelf has had a very similar feel.

You're still going to notice differences between glove generations, but I don't think that model has gone through any drastic changes to detract you from it feeling familiar.

Agreed with what Coop said, although I’ve only ever just tried on the new gloves, and on the left hand at that because nobody carries anything in stores full right anyways 😂 but I’ve always stuck with the lt98 and haven’t went custom with the later generations. I know Matt Murray used an lt98 internal on his SLR at some point so it could be the internals with that unique feel you like.
