  1. That would be awesome if you could. I'm 5'11 190lbs and wear a large passau pro pack so kind of bulky c/a. The GM jerseys I'm using right now aren't hindering my movement but definitely on the more "fitted" side in the chest and arms. I was thinking of going with A2XL which is supposed to be 58inch. The only thing that I'm unsure of is my GM is supposedly 61inch by their measurements and is a little snug in the chest so a 58inch GC might not work.
  2. Any of you guys ever had any experience with Kobe K3G jerseys? I'm looking to pick up some new jerseys and my current goalie monkey GC jerseys seem to be a little small and fit kind of snug and my AK GC jerseys are like dresses and look kind of ridiculous. I like the fit of the old rbk edge jerseys, are there any ones out there that have the same fit? It seems like either the jerseys are massive and baggy or tight on the arms. https://www.homegrownsportinggoods.com/k3gkings2.html
  3. How do they compare? I’m liking the vapor 90 but the cuff is a little long on it. The Brian’s looks shorter like a warrior. I like the short cuff on the warriors that don’t interfere with my C/a
  4. Has anyone gotten their hands on the eclipse and a vapor 90?
  5. One thing i noticed and have read several people having the same issue is that the Vapor 90 doesn't seal the ice completely when covering the puck. There is a good size gap that allows the puck to slide out. It happened to me in a game the other night, i covered the puck on the side of the net and went to slide it in front of me and my glove stopped and the puck kept sliding out in front of the net. luckily, nothing came of it but its not the only time I've had issues with the gap. Will it get better as the glove breaks in or is this a 580 thing? So far i like the glove and the closure just getting adjusted to the new break and getting the glove worked in. I'm just more mindful when covering the puck and don't move my glove around until the whistle.
  6. Ive had mine since roughly 2007/2008, all the elastic straps are stretched out and pretty much there to just hold them in place while i put socks over them. I tape them so they stay up but they have some minor tear on the knee bend but besides that they are still as protective as when i got them. I got the standard ones with no extra gel in the landing area and never really have achy knees.
  7. I’ve always wanted a Brian’s set/gloves and if it wasn’t for the price I would have probably went with this 580 over the Bauer vapor90 but the price is starting to get pretty ridiculous. Like most gear the price is starting to be crazy. 600/700+ for a CA that won’t give you bruises etc…
  8. this bad boy arrived today to replace my mach and it already snaps closed and the break feels sooo much better. Can’t wait to try it out and see how it is. Only thing that threw me off is how long the pocket is instead of open if that makes sense. I feel like opening my Mach up covered more area but when I open this glove it’s not as much area covered…if that makes sense and I have broken it in yet so I might be jumping the gun.
  9. What is better than the HL2? I was about to pick up one before o decided to get the V90. Mach didn’t feel nice and I liked the closure of the vapor glove. I never tried one on the ice just off the rack.
  10. Awesome! I have mine coming hopefully end of this coming week. Got rid of the Mach and trying the vapor 90. how was the closure out of the box? I could never get the Mach to close fully or comfortably
  11. That’s good to know so far I’ve been happy with the gear and it’s done me solid. I might try some vapors next time just to change it up and see how they play.
  12. I'm rocking M5 pads and blocker right now but just sold my Mach glove due to the fact that i just couldn't get comfortable with it and didn't like the break and how i had to close it with more fingertips. I'm surprised to hear the M5 not doing well they are pretty stiff and I'm not the most flexible but I've never had an issue with them being stiffer. The only downside is that they are kind of heavier/ clunkier feeling since the shin area is thicker than the vapor. I'm intrigued with the Vapor line just because its so popular but i was worried about the rebounds not being a hot as the supreme so I went M5. I also don't know about the vapor blocker since it sits higher up on the hand and the rebounds aren't as hot, from what i was told. I do like the feel of the glove and probably going to pick up a Vapor90 to try.
  13. I like the smog nicely concealing the buildings in the background
  14. Unfortunately I don’t have a way to try either of them on. Is it a big difference or just noticeable. It would be kind of a moot point since I haven’t tried on any type of 580 before I just like the closure method described and the pocket orientation. I’ve only ever had Simmons, warrior, and Bauer Mach gloves.
  15. Im not near there but I saw that they have some in stock in the color I want. I’m trying to nicely get them to ship to the US.
  16. Is there anyway to replicate a 580 without trying on a 580? Unfortunately I do not have access to a store or a fellow goalie who has a 580 and I want to give a vapor 90 a try. I’m currently using a Mach and can catch alright with it but still don’t like the closure and I tried back on my G5 and it feels a lot better closure and break in the palm feel. I know it’s more personal preference but is the 580 worth switching too or is it just the new hotness? Can’t decide between the vapor 90 or just going with a ln off the shelf vapor glove.
  17. I LOVE the way my warrior G5 feels and closes but, like @ThatCarGuy stated you will be chasing the dragon for forever if you are trying to get a glove that feels like it. I went for G5 to mach and even though they are supposed to be same break the mach felt like i was holding a can on my hand not like the crisp snap of the warrior. I still want to try on the HL2 to see if it feels closer since its more of a whole hand close than fingers. Warrior to me feels like snapping a book shut with a very sharp break in my palm. I like using whole hand closure vs. fingers.
  18. Are the warrior units pretty protective? For some reason i always have hesitancy to go with an off the shelf senior C/A, idk why. I've only used simmons and passau C/A and they have been protective enough for what i need, even though last game i took two hard shot to the same spot back to back and got a bruise on my shoulder through the passau pro pack. I've tried on the Vaughn and loved the mobility but keep reading issues with the bicep/forearm area protection and hate the idea of spending good chunk of money on a C/A that you need to mod to make it protective enough. I wish TGC brought back their "spec" that had beefed up areas that are notorious for thin padding. Customizing a Bauer for $700 bucks is a slap in the face already spending $500+ on a C/A is tough.
  19. Ive only had mine for a couple weeks but so far so good. I wouldn't worry about protection with the pads and blocker, i cant speak on the glove since I snagged a mach catcher. Each set of pads I have used has gotten stiffer and stiffer and these feel great for how stiff they are. My last set were warrior g5's and the overall pad stiffness is night and day from the Bauer's.
  20. Any reviews on the HL2 or X5 glove? going to check one out soon hopefully in store but how's the protection/ feel?
  21. I messed around briefly with 3mm blade and while the shuffling was awesome and effortless i felt like i couldn't get a strong push with the blades. i normally use 7/16 on 4mm and had to go even sharper on 3mm to get close to the same feel. I believe the Detroit2 profile is close to that, i cant remember off the top off my head and it feels so much better i feel like i wont catch my toe while moving around.
  22. I do a lot of toe pushing so i wanted some more meat on the front of skate I'm using 4mm step blade along with Detroit 2 profile and the movement is night and day. Like you i had the same feeling of my toe was catching the ice and i couldn't move that well. The DET2 took of some of the front of the blade and make me feel more like I'm putting pressure on the heel/midfoot and my toe of the blade can pivot and move without the catching feeling. I would suggest to go slow and see what works best for you, i know SAM is pretty aggressive in the toe area and it seems hit or miss for users.
  23. Any particular reason?
