  1. Ultima posted recently on a different account, I can't remember his new name. Said he couldn't remember his log in, so he was forced to make a new account.

Bunny, well, that's a whole different story.

Samsonov fell asleep at the wheel is what it is. He looked/behaved weird all game. He had plenty of time to play the puck or at least jump on it as it bounced back in front.

He lost the series for the leafs.

Nothing on Marner and Reilly both missing their assignments in the 1-3-1 on that play? You're right on Samsonov being too passive on that playthough.

Samsonov played fine that game, so did the leafs. They could've won.

Though I'm so glad they didn't. Lol.

    But I'm a certified hater

I believe official release is 5/24, but since these are likely rolling into shops within the next couple weeks, you'll probably see them being sold in-stores early.

There's a test set at the hockey shop I just looked at.

Shadow looks good and the stock glove is definitely better than the Mach.

Leg pads are improved with their calf pillow and calf plate shape.

Blocker sidewall is a step back. Very clunky and feels restrictive in the fingers.

Y’all right locally and on the web it seems like most younger and older beer league guys are rocking HL/3x/x5 and don’t see Mach/m5 much.

anyone use both of them? Not to derail the thread but I’m tossing around the idea of getting some x5’s. I have G5’s as back ups and used them for a game and after using the Bauers I hate the way the warriors squish in the knee block and they don’t nearly as good as the Bauers. I know each line has their own knee stack but is the vapors more firm than warrior?

I’ll have to be the weirdo buying up all the discontinued supremes pads to have spares

If it's the knee landing you're so focused on, you can't go wrong with either knee block option for bauer.

They're both such an improvement over the standard knee block, that I'm hesitant to change out of it. I'm a huge fan.

If I may ask, what size pants did you choose? What c/a do you use with them and do you tuck or un-tuck? What difference do you notice compared to your Pro Spec ones from before and why choose the Pro Elite over the Pro?

Honestly this should be the "Tell me more" meme template. : r/DunderMifflin

Gonna ask if he's cut/uncut next?

Is the shadow line out for retail? I'm struggling to find somewhere to try it on and I was told to believe they would have been out by now.

    Next month I believe.

Not from my experience with them. I found them soft, but definitely not as soft as slr3 pros.

You may be right. I've never done more that the squish test and it was relatively close. Albeit a bit softer.

The m5 pros were never really stiff, but yes. 1 senior mid price point pad.

They were more or less the same stiffness profile as Ultrasonic/Shadow with the 120 degree boot.

Pretty stiff overall pad, especially compared to Hyperlite/x5

they shortened the cuff so they could add more space to the pocket.

Pretty much how gloves are trending. The cuff difference between the G5 and earlier gloves and the G6/7 is substantial, as is the increase in pocket size.

Believe the new Shadow catcher is doing something similar as well, just in a smaller increment,

    I’ve tried them

the flex from senior is similar to the ultrasonic and pro is mach ++

Sounds about right. The G6 was as stiff as a Mach but with a bit more curve. Since the G7 now comes stock with an external break (no internal break), it should be a tad softer, but was mostly the same.

I haven't touched the Senior line yet, but the Senior line on the G6 was decently squishy, more so than an Ultrasonic, but definitely not Hyperlite territory.

To my Canadian friends who can't watch much, can you guys get ESPN+? It's a online streaming service for just $10 a month, like disney plus haha. You rarely get to watch a live game, but the replays are available as soon as the game is done. So I just stay off the internet and tune in about 3 hours after puck drop, pretend it's live and have a ball.

Sportsnet is the rights holder up here.

Ah. When are our raises? We keep this site interesting

You'd have to ask the big man about that one, he's very stringent on letting me get too ahead of myself.

So do the Leafs go back to Samsonov or throw Woll back in?

They should just pack it in. I'm eager to start trolling leaf fans

The 7.0 demo glove I tried on some months ago felt like butter.

Maybe too many people messed with that one in the store at THS.

Nah, that thing was definitely crushed during transport. Thing was awful.

I saw it back during the first week of Feb, and aside from staff, I was one of the few from the public to try it.

@coopaloop1234I know I'll just have to give the glove a try somewhere, sometime before I can give my final impression. If anything, the removable palm would feel like a pro palm in a game ready glove, yes?

Not really, it's a bit squishier than Warrior's sewn in option, but I didn't find it to be a massive difference. Lining up the velcro on the catcher is so much easier than moving the blocker back in place.

I've been using my G6 with the practice palm insert and that has much more of a pro palm feeling that you're describing.

Both the 7.0 and 7.1 final products I tried were perfect (although slightly stiffer and thicker feeling than G6) and did not have that issue. Awful of them to have that as their closure photo

Frankly it's hilarious. Though, outside of manually closing it with the other hand, there isn't much else they could do on that glove. It came in rough fucking shape lol.

We were. I should of included my Crocs in the post to capture your focus ;)

    Pretty sure it's @A.YOUNGoalie13 who's into feet.

Also, I can't believe that The Hockey Shop used this picture to advertise their 7.0 glove.

I tried that glove they got and it was absolutely mangled internally. Their 7.1 demo one was fine though.
