Does your rink sell Bauer? Are you on Bauer University?

Does your rink sell True or CCM? Are you on ENDVR?

Rockville Ice Arena and The Gardens Ice House have Bauer and CCM. Cabin John only has CCM.

I'm curious about finding a place where I can try gloves with other breaks in full right.

I've never heard of Bauer University or ENDVR.

  2. I've been looking for full right gloves on SidelineSwap, but there are far fewer full right gloves available than regular gloves. I know that there are Facebook groups for full right goalies, but it is rare to find senior-sized full right gloves there in new (or even like-new) condition.

Is there a good resource I could use to find full right gloves without spending ridiculous amounts? I'm still using the gloves I got from @bunnyman666, but I feel stingers when I play above Lower D. I've been thinking about upgrading my trapper, and I'm looking for budget options with good protection. The rink I work at has CCM full right gloves by Lefebvre, but the closure is garbage. They won't be worth the employee discount ;(.

  3. My team won the spring D4 championship. The game was scoreless through regulation and overtime. It was decided in a shootout, where we scored 3 goals to their 1. I'm having a hard time downloading BenchApp photos to my phone, but I'll try to see if I can download photos from BenchApp to my computer.

  4. I wore my chest protector over the suspenders. I started doing this, because I had crappy suspenders that would not stay in place unless I crossed them over my shoulders. My.current suspenders stay in place without issues, but I do not tuck, because I put on all lower body equipment before upper body equipment. Tucking the chest protector would violate that sequence.

  5. There is a rink in Gillingham called Planet Ice Gillingham. Several Kent-based teams play there. Rec teams will also travel to other rinks to play there.

This website should provide a link to all rec teams in the UK. Contact the ones in your area, and they should be able to get you squared away. They will have a certain practice time weekly for you to work on yourskills and get to know your teammates.

  6. There is the Centennial Sportsplex, Ford Center Bellevue (West Nashville), and the Ford Center Antioch (Southeast Nashville) all have adult leagues, so it will depend on which part of Nashville you are in.

Your toe ties on these pads will have almost zero effect on the thighrise.

The toe ties purpose at this point is to help rotate the pad back into place when getting up, offers a connection point for control and stops your leg from going past the protection from the boot.

That being said, absolutely replace the default Bauer bungees. They're garbage.

Agreed. My default Bauer bungees broke quickly, so I replaced them with old stretch laces I had from a previous pair of 2S Pros. I then got Pro Laces Armour as soon as I could, and now rock that.

New sticks! The elite is like a gsx but based off vapor instead of supreme

Do they make Elite sticks in full right? It grinds my gears when I go on Pure Hockey and Goalie Monkey, but I can't find a stick in full right that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

  9. I'll look into them. I'll just need to know how protective they are before deciding whether to pull the trigger on them, or saving up for a clearance Ultrasonic trapper or a pro return full right set.

The rebounds off the M5 blocker seem pretty hot to me.

I'm full right, so I can't use M5 gloves. Last time I checked, they only had regular available, both at Pure Hockey and at Goalie Monkey. The only manufacturer with full right available at a similar price point to the M5s is Warrior (G6+/G6.1+).

  11. I switched to full right shortly after I started playing ice hockey. It turned out I was a right shot, so full right worked better for me than regular. I can play either way, but I am full time full right now.

kind of off topic but any of you guys know a work around about buying Bauer gear from Canada and getting shipped to the states? Hockey shop has US in my size but Bauer wont let them ship out of Canada.

You'd have to find a Canadian to get the stuff for you and have it shipped to you in the US. Another option is to go to Canada and get the stuff from there in person.

  13. Here are my new Ultrasonics. I've enjoyed playing with them. The rebounds are nice and hot. The sliding is excellent. I also haven't had any cheap 5-hole goals with these pads.

I've had to scrap the toe ties these pads came with, and later the stretch laces I got from the old 2S Pro pads. I've had trouble with the Bauer toe ties breaking and the stretch laces getting caught under my skates. Hopefully a set of ProLaces will solve my problems.

  14. I have a pair of used 35" Bauer Ultrasonic pads in good condition available for sale. I recently got a pair of new 36" Ultrasonics on clearance, so I am willing to let go of my old pads. The pads have the default Bauer toe ties replaced with ProLaces.  Rebounds are nice and hard and sliding was excellent, at least compared to my former pair of 2S Pro pads.

I am selling for $550 US plus shipping. If you are in the DC area, you can forgo shipping and PM me for pickup.
