I was excited for these to be released till I saw that price.  Isn't the markup on beefed up customs from most brands $100 or less? I'm frequently skating with NHL players and my retail Warrior is as good as any pro kitted CA I've used.  I was hoping they'd just bump these up $50 or something.

I'd say the price is comparable to beefed up custom units from Bauer.

The floaters in the new unit are not as segmented and are stiffer, they also seem thicker. I'll get measurements when I can today.

The abdomen seems similar but the new unit has the air mesh from the ef6 which I hope gives better breathability and cooling. The backplate is a soft perforated foam and is lite and flexible .

And the arms are almost identical to the older unit. They did however tie in the elbow cup to the cuff strap.

Yup. From a stiffness rating, do you know where that sits in relation to Litexcore and Maxrebound+? In between?

It's weird seeing them list the maxcore as a x-stiff core compared to the new core. But the xf is a single internal/no outer break pad. I haven't seen any in person so I'm just speculating at this point.

So, I went back and found some pics I took when I unboxed my EF6's and here you can see they explicitly identify the MAXREBOUND with the "+", so I'm guessing it's the same core in the XF line.

New axis core will be infinite rebound stock.

So are we finally going to be able to order custom ccm sticks since it’s in the catalog?

That I am not certain of at the moment. I'm hoping they will be available as id love some custom xf pros

Having the same issue in Firefox - not sure if it's Firefox, or one of my extensions that is doing it. Chrome seems to work just fine though.

Finally got it to open on chrome. Narrowed it down to 2 designs. Now to decide if I want to go simple or bold. 😅

Customizers won't load past the select product screen on my desktop, but work fine on my phone.. weird.

That’s strange, usually the weave slides well. Have you tried putting some PPF on?

I haven't. Just gonna leave them. New set of Digi print ef6's should be in in a few weeks.

I saw that, too. I like the way I have it on my PX3 setup:

    image.png.b9f09b21eca40b69e937290c621fdbd3.png

where the elastic strap to the calf limits how much the knee block can move, and the leather strap provides an outer limit for how far my knee can go backward so I never risk falling off the block.

I have a separate question, which is will True mix-and-match features from both lines for a regular customer (not just pros)? If I wanted a PX3 pad, but with the Hzrdus outer roll, calf sliding surface shape, and shorter FRS assembly would they do it?

By the FRS assembly part, I mean where there is a piece that extends down to the boot and overlaps with the inside calf wrap on the PX3, but is absent in the Hzrdus line. PX3 on the left, Hzrdus on the right:

More than likely no, true doesn't like to do alterations. But have the retailer you want to order through reach out to their true rep and ask. We had a custom want a very specific embroidery done in the back of the pad. We reached out to true and they accepted the additional embroidery, but said they had to outsource it to a local embroiderer. No extra charge to the custom as well.

I was finally able to take these out on the ice last night, and the adjustment from my Eflex 6 set was surprisingly easy. Both sets are 33 + 1.5, both have weave on the sliding surface, and both are the stiffest internals that each pad offers, although obviously the Px3s have a much stiffer thigh rise and are stiffer overall.

I didn't have any issues with mobility or pad interference, strapping system felt good, rotation was good, etc.

Butterfly slides during the flow of play and going post to post was better on the Px3s. Overall it's just a stiffer and more solid platform upon which to move and play. The only aspect that I really noticed was different and that I'll need to work on is 5 hole coverage. The curve of the CCMs lets you get a little lazy, whereas with the Trues you need to be conscious of keeping your knees together and maintaining a good flare due to the straighter and stiffer thigh rise.

For sizing comparison, my knees do land a little higher on the block of the Trues despite them both being a 33 and despite the flatter boot on the Trues.

Overall I was impressed, they felt great 👍

Interesting. Seems like I'm the only one having shit sliding in trues. But that could just be a personal issue with weight distribution. My ef6 slid way better than my trues.

When will the All Out Customizer be available for the public?

The all out customizer is the same as the regular customizer with less areas to select colors due to print areas being done by the rendering by ccm after the order is placed through a dealer.

I hope CCM opens it up the custom program to all more than the retail Price & Crawford curves.

I'd love to order some 203-2T curves.

The only curves listed for custom are p1 and p4.

Definitely looking forward to comparing these to my EF6 set, which I love but wish had a little less torsional flex. And I don't want to go in cold with these on in a league game so I'll have to wait until my Wednesday scrimmage to try them out.

They are fairly similar and different at the same time depending on how you specd the build on the trues. But stock vs custom should be vastly different than my custom vs custom build. Now I'll have to compare them vs my new ef6's when they come in. 😅
