  1. The gsx is the bottom line of Bauer goalie skates meaning they don't share the same heat moldability as the elite, pro, and konekt. And are rather the softest goalie skate Bauer offers at the time. The trues use the wrap due to their composite being moldable. You can try it on the bauers, but I doubt they would retain any wrapped shape being they are softer and lack the composition of the trues.

Sounds like a tentative launch. I'm guessing they'll sell out in a week and we'll have to wait for round 2 within the summer

Last year we received the ef6 the first week of April. Stores may get them early for a soft launch.

Sorry, can you take like a picture showing the whole backhand? It's very zoomed in and I wanted a clean look at the whole back. Thanks

I'll try. The old 2nd over hand strap is still there as I'm using it and an anchor for the top Velcro strap on the crossform strap.

This is a hot option at Pro... Markstrom and Big Save Dave use it. Have any more pics?

I'll get some tomorrow morning when I get home from work. One other thing I forgot to mention is that I am using the strap inverted as to how it's attached on the 581 as the nylon wrist strap is further towards the wrist on the true. But the mobility is still way better than that of the factory true wrist strap.

  5. After putting off this project for a few months I finally got around to getting it done. I source the crossform strap from a 581 glove that I deconstructed for "science". I removed the factory true wrist wrap by trimming the thread tying it to the palm area. Then I tried to use the factory attachment strap that goes under the palm but it was way too long. I then attempted to shorten it by sewing the strap shorter rather than making a new one. When they didn't work I ended up using left over lacrosse lacing to loop into the perimeter cord and foam of the back hand strap. The mobility feels way better than the factory true wrist strap. Only downfall is that the true nylon wrist strap is more interior than the ccm so it won't go as tight, which is fine for me. I guess we shall see how it goes.

well thats worrysome, but hopefully ill be able to handle it. If i hate this ill resell it and grab the ABPROSPEC coming to shelves soon cause apparently the internal liner is going to be the airmesh that was on the AXIS 2 according to the images

But I'm also a fat battle gnome that plays above my skill/endurance level. 😅 But that being said I will definitely be moving to the new pro spec unit as soon as we get them.

New Tendy here who was just able to snatch an unused one, on a scale of 1-10 how hot does it get. I'm not that big of a guy either 6'2 170, currently in an Axis 2 chest and id give it maybe a 4/10 on heat, would love to know what you think!

I was in an axis 2 before this unit as well. I would say it gets 8-8.5/10 for hotness, it doesn't breath very well but the protection way better than the axis 2.

This graphic is just rough man. Played with it a ton and can’t get anything to look good.

I'm not a fan of the graphic at all but I can appreciate how modular and customizable it is. One of the few options I could live with for the fire league.

So will you even use it? Or will you keep it and cancel the Bauer sale? Full cleanse or go all in and hoard? 😂

Might just give the buyer the option of with glove. Might use it. Who knows. I ordered some Digi print eft6 yesterday so we shall see. 🤷

Yikes. What sort of wait times was the customizer showing when you guys put your orders in?

low and behold... It's arrived today. Just in time to go with a Bauer set I'm trying to sell.

Oh man, I did not see that at all, initially. But I doubt anyone else will pick up on that?

If anyone ordering is curious about wait times, I placed a px3 order at the beginning of Feb and emailed True this morning to ask about where it is in the queue. She  replied right away, said she'd looked up my order number in their system and said it was on track to leave the factory on March 18th, which is pretty much right on 6 weeks. Very impressive customer service!

Here I am still waiting on a glove or ordered December 10th. 😅

How do they compare? I’m liking the vapor 90 but the cuff is a little long on it. The Brian’s looks shorter like a warrior. I like the short cuff on the warriors that don’t interfere with my C/a

I'm not at the store till the weekend but I can grab some measurements if you'd like

One thing i noticed and have read several people having the same issue is that the Vapor 90 doesn't seal the ice completely when covering the puck. There is a good size gap that allows the puck to slide out. It happened to me in a game the other night, i covered the puck on the side of the net and went to slide it in front of me and my glove stopped and the puck kept sliding out in front of the net. luckily, nothing came of it but its not the only time I've had issues with the gap. Will it get better as the glove breaks in or is this a 580 thing? So far i like the glove and the closure just getting adjusted to the new break and getting the glove worked in. I'm just more mindful when covering the puck and don't move my glove around until the whistle.

That's a 580 thing pretty much. I just learned to press the bottom hand down and cover the front of the t with my stick.

  14. Here is an eflex 6 vs a hyperlite 2. Hyperlite 2's curve isn't nearly as aggressive. Brian's is by far the most aggressive though.

I still only count 50/50 as far as ccm 580s go. Who all is using the crossform strap in a 580 build?

I plan on doing the mod myself.

Who knows, he may be wrong about the timing. Or he may have meant that's when they'll be able to ship mine. I guess we shall find out. Have you heard any news or seen any products?

I haven't heard anything or seen anything in person.

Thanks for linking these - and good timing for this thread to be resurrected. I was just on the phone with CCM warranty for a claim I have in which I'm waiting for the Axis XF glove, and they confirmed the release date for this line is now the first week of March. Previously I was told February sometime. I wouldn't say I'm holding my breath on the glove being awesome, but it does look like they may have fixed the thumb/pocket angle that was causing problems on their 581/591 so maybe I'm cautiously optimistic?

The new glove is a revision to the 591. First week of March? The ef6 customizer didn't release until April last year, a head of the release.

I was using eflex before switch to a supreme 2s pro back in 2018 (feels like decades ago at this point). I took a risk based on what I didn’t like on my past setups and It paid off in my case.

I also sold hockey gear for half a decade and a lot people (players and goalies alike) definitely have a lot of inertia when it comes to trying new things. Sometimes you think you know what you like but maybe you actually don’t.

    Valid statement.

You bought good gear. The "lack" of sales is just due to lack of education, people being scared to take a risk, etc

The lack of sales also is contributed to people knowing what they like.. I wouldn't say people are uneducated because they prefer a soft pad to a stiff pad, nor if they prefer a hand closure to a pinching closure.
