  1. Guess it just means I'm not 10ply? Pro palm and not a issue.
  2. I requested a px. But being off hand they sent me a 9x3 which happened to match my ccm set. But the vibration through the stick is terrible compared to the ccm prolite.
  3. I might have to start a channel . Definitely going to do a write up on ef6 vs px3 pads when lever my true order actually gets in.
  4. I have about 3 weeks at 2-4 times a week in it. I will say. My pro palm has been well padded, compared to what hockeyreviews posted. I purposely took palm shots in warmups the other day to test the protection.
  5. I mean it's unfortunate to spend the $$$ to try something new and not like it. But that's part of the retail game. I am fortunate enough to have a part time job at a store to get discount. But the replacement glove is full price.
  6. Unfortunately no, cross form strap is only for 591/581. Regular break gloves get regular back hand strapping. Hopefully they will change that in the axis (stiff) line next year.
  7. I myself am very pleased with the pads and the blocker. I went with loose fit and qk5 straps on the pads rather than the elastic only straps. Loose fit in the blocker is a nice touch as well. Only thing I don't like is the 581. If it's off angle even the slightest it will rocket off the face of the the glove. Patiently waiting for my ccm 580 to come in, just wish I could get the cross form strap on it.
  8. How are you liking the 581?
  9. I finally made the venture to try a two piece skate. I wanted to keep a neutral pitch like the one piece skates and find steel easier. Ran with regular 3mm blade and the butterfly pushes were hit or miss. Swapped in the black step and everything was much better. Now to get custom 2 piece boots instead of the tf9 boot and I will be good to go.
  10. I can agree that different sliding experience are subjective due to Ice conditions locally.
  11. I've got a handful of skates in my set as well and I will say that the weave on the ef6 slides better than the primo on my optik2 pads. I had no trouble pushing across the crease whether it was fresh ice or an hour into the skate.
  12. I have played with the straps and it's betting somewhat better. I guess I'm just use to the flat palm of my true. The face of the 581 is much flatter in the thumb. I'm still working on how I want to hold the glove as most of the glove shots have been off the steep face on reactive rebounds and pop out.
  13. The 581 is... It's different. Coming from a 580 to a 581 it feels similar but different. I'm not a fan of how the glove fits in my hand, I feel like half my hand is sticking out. I also don't care for the puffy palm nash. Pinky loop has its moments where it will slide off my medium sized hands. Break in wasn't terrible. Bake it in the skate oven for 5 min then either tie it closed or work it open and closed for a half hour. I baked my pro palm and tied it up and it's pretty broken in in the few days I've had them.
  14. I have a hl2 set with a vapor 90non the way as well. Should be coming in in the next few weeks for so.
  15. Ccm could step up their custom game by adding more options to customize the gloves they already manufacture. If I can choose what knee wrap I want on my pads, why can I choose what kinda wrist strapping my glove has? Or if I want the glove to have finger stalls or loops? If I want the bulge padding or flat padding on the wrist? I feel that the cross x strap was a great improvement. And I feel that if I could get a regular 580 with a cross x strap it would be even better and be more competitive than trues offerings.
  16. Hyperlite 2 chesty in size medium. Used 4 times and going back to my axis. I dont like the lack of adjustability in the arms and the wrist setup. I did cut the inner elastic on the outside of the elbow cups as it dug into my forearms. $500 Will not ship outside of us. PayPal is fine +3%.
  17. Total custom pro 581 Pro palm Single t It had the index and pinky looks but that wrist pad really bugs me as it's puffy instead of flat like a 580. And I'll stand by what I said about the palm closure. It feels like you're holding onto a pole instead of just closing your hand.
  18. From my first skate in the ccm I can say it's is a much much different feeling glove than the true. The true is smooth and the break feels natural. The sure grip on the inside is nice and tacky when playing. The 581 just feels like I had a bump on my inner wrist. Inside didn't really have a grip besides the gigantic pinky loop. When closing it it felt like I was holding a hotdog bun in my palm, yes I'm fat and make food references. . Also I feel like the 581 closed more like a warrior g6.1 than a true/ccm 580.
  19. I have received my ccm custom set today and I figured I'd do a photo comparison of a 581 vs a 580. The lack of finger stalls is definitely noticable but we will see how it plays out. I feel like the pinky loop in the custom is bigger than the retail version as well. Range of motion in the new hand lock is very nice.
  20. My set showed up today. Overall I am very pleased with the quality of the total custom pro vs the retail stuff. 581 pro palm will take some getting use to, but I have a regular 580 pro palm on the way just in case. Vegas gold speed skin is
