  1. The guy who helped me with the process had them at the same tightness including the top buckles twisted to the same tightness. He just had them really tight. I just think my feet are different.
  2. Just got the HF2 model. I got measured at the store and my feet are wide but he said my feet are basically between wide and normal. He baked them and when I put them on, they felt awful. As time went on, they felt better and better as they molded to my foot. I wasn’t expecting to get new skates that day but they felt so good that I bought them right away. I was warned about the bottom buckle popping open or breaking but was told that a college goalie had his break and all he did was tape it and it lasted him the whole year. They said I could preemptively tape it which some guys have done and they haven’t had a problem. First skate was alright but unfortunately I had them on too loose. 2nd skate in them was amazing. They’re the comfiest skate I’ve ever been in. tightness was perfect and never changed throughout the game. my old skates with laces would often start out too tight and then feel better as the game went on. Or they’d start out great and then get too loose even with new waxed laces My feet must be very different because I go to the 2nd rung on the right skate for the bottom and top buckle. Left skate I got to 3 on the bottom buckle and 4 on the top buckle and both skates feel like they’re the same tightness. It’s honestly the best purchase I’ve made for goaltending. Being comfy on your feet is a game changer and I’ve never felt comfortable in skates until now. Just thought I’d leave this review here in case you’re on the fence. Very happy so far.
  3. Buy Bauer pads…sell ccm pads. might lose a little bit of money on it but if you want your rebounds to be extra crispy, this is the best option
  4. So I went and ended up buying my own haha. they felt amazing in store. Standing there felt like I was wearing nothing at all. Nothing at all. Nothing at all. did it feel great for you in store and then not as good when you skated in them?
  5. Did you Pull that lacing through the pad skin you applied?
  6. I would have assumed smaller would come off easier.
  7. Anyone have any pics of their padskinz? also curious if you think it’s worth it? I have all black pads I kind of want to add some simple color to. Something simple like Mike smith has on his pads.
  8. I have my full setup and then I buy new gear and sell the old gear while it still has a little value. recently went from 2x pads and gloves to 3x pads and gloves. paid $1100CAD for the brand new set and sold the old set for $500. other gear is replaced as needed and again I sell the old stuff to offset the cost of the new gear.
  9. I’ve switched back and forth a bunch of times. My preference is suspenders under the chest protector with my pants tied to the chest protector with bungee cord. The mobility is awesome and if you use XL pants, your chest protector makes you a lot bigger. Covers up the holes in your armpits.
  10. Did you just bake them once and they were good to go or did you need to do anything extra?
  11. Im currently in an 8.5EE but really want the Konekts. Just curious if anyone similar in size to me has had success with the Konekts?
