I picked up a nice shape 2003 Lexus GX 470 a month ago. It was free. 261k on it - which is normal for these trucks. Free trucks are never free, it needed a new transfer case and front driveshaft.

I sourced a nice used case and shaft. Installed last week. Truck is driving pretty nice. Now that I have it working, I have to clean her up a little and repair the driver seat (seat wears out before the truck dies). Previous owner spent more time tire shining and spray waxing this than I would have. There was also about 65 air fresheners inside. They were in there to cover the smell I determined. The smell was from a large rubbermaid bin full of cleaners and rags that had moldy rags at the bottom. 

Also previous owner plastic coated the wheels and it's peeling off.

Funny. I'm driving around now in a 2020 Sierra. I bought it in December 2022 for a little under $40k then. The market was nuts! 

I put $10k down and financed the rest. I'm barely above water today with it.

You're right - the process is ass. I regret not buying something cash with the $10k instead then. Although in late 2022, every used vehicle was still way overpriced. I debate often just getting rid of it and save myself the payment and insurance cost.

I have the Elevation in a crew cab. Fabric seats but all the goodies. Drives nice and all my gear and my kids gear fits inside.

Heard that Roman was spotted with Bunny at the gas station near Doug's house.

I read a book on the Oakland Seals. It was pretty entertaining.

Sad part is that Canada Post - like the USPS - has to go to every house every day. The private companies either deliver themselves when it makes them money or uses USPS or CP when they don't. CP and USPS can't say no to deliveries and has to check your mailbox daily no matter what.

FWIW - I use a Kevin Weekes glove now all the time. I finally got it broken in and can catch with it.

I've thought about starting a thread about the Weekes glove. Would be cool to get Kevin somehow to mention it on tv. Remember when he supposedly came on this board (to sell some brand he had)? We all wanted to ask him stuff and he bailed kinda quickly.

I feel a little violated seeing the Passmore blocker now. Wonder if his story about health issues was true now. He was really happy I sent him the blocker - although he never did anything fun for the forum with it. I was hoping he'd give more to the shenanigans I did with it on the GSBB.

I hope he's well though. Times we jammed he seemed cool. Internet forums are where the odd folks still hang out; so he's no different than me I guess. ha ha

I retired a few times from hockey.

I also watched a few KISS farewell tours. Think there is another one coming this year.

Just making you smile, Wonder... You know you'll get a text from your buddies when they are in a pinch for a goalie. You'll be feeling good having not played in a while, you'll say 'I got one more in me'. Why not.... retirement over.

I want to put on my gravestone something about "No, I can't play tonight, I'm dead!"

If there wasn't the Phoenix/Arizona Coyotes - the name would be on the list for sure. Utah isn't all mountains and snow.

Ed's son, Murray, was a heck of coach in Juniors.

Since their basketball team is called the Jazz (relocated team from New Orleans decades ago). 

Maybe just go with the Utah Whalers or Salt Lake City Surfers.
