Here here, I'll drink to that.

@Brians_Joz does the GNetik 5.0 break like SZ or GN?
The Gnetik should break like a Gnetik! Personally, I like the SZ break, don't like the Gnetik break at all. SZ is something like 40° fingers/thumb, and Gnetik is more like a 90° (580) or something like that. Before my SZ gloves, I had TPS R12, and in my opinion it's kind of similar. My son has Bauer One90 gloves, and they feel similar to me as well (altho he doesn't think so). Glove breaks are so hard to classify...
I tried on my old T6000 the other week before I sold it, and my God, I have no clue how I caught anything with that. The words "Pancake Trapper" popped right into my head. No depth in the pocket at all.

A few for a team I subbed for earlier this year during their Finals (and won )

We just took our team pic last week, and thought it would be a good idea for a thread. So here it is. I'll stick some older team pics up as well...
Current team (since 2013) HC St.Ursen Grizzlies in the Sensler Cup League (Div.4 was replaced in Freiburg by this league) Oh yea, all teams are in Switzerland..
Now to dig back... to 2001, EHC Boll in Div.3
EHC Rot-Blau from 2002-2007, Div.4 (they also have a Div.1 and Senior team, which is why there's so many people in the pic)
HC Bätterkinden Flames, 2010-2012 Div.4
And the first year with my current team 2013 - ?
And some "not really my team" pics...
In 2010 I won some tourny with the Rot-Blau Senior (40+) team:
...and earlier this year (2017) I won some championship subbing for some team:

This looks like it was taken from a surveillance video..."This man just robbed a local 7-11, last seen in Factory Mad gear and a green "Riddler" jersey, skating away from the scene heading West, using mostly T-pushes and C-cuts. He is armed with an old Reebok stick, and may be desperate. Please call police if you see him"

This is my current gear setup for 2017-2018. Usually I use the leg pads and gloves for 3-4 seasons, so these are about mid life now in their second season.
Leg Pads: Vaughn Velo 4's (second season)
Chest: Heaton 5 (First season, had it in storage, replaced my old H5)
Gloves: Brian's SubZero 2
Mask: ReidiC (first season)
Pants: TPS GP104 (Second season)
Skates: New Graf Cowling with Step Steel, and G50 boot
Jock: Brown JB2000
Bag: Frontier (hiding under the gear)
Sticks: Frontier and Montreal

Yea, as long as it stays above about -5C°/+20°F you should be fine, dress normally. Me and my kids play outside all the time, half the ice rinks in Switzerland are outdoors
Playing in Estonia in the 90's, the temps would drop to -20°C/-10°F, and that would be brutal. My hands were so numb I couldn't hold the stick, and my water bottle was frozen by the end of the 1st period....good times

Yea, I agree, Vaughn's model numbers have got too confusing. Kayen's list looks pretty good, except the V5 was 7990 and the V4 "LE" (Late Edition?) is 7900. AFAIK, they are the same pad, just different graphic and maybe one other small change. But basically the same pad.

I just got a new Bauer Reactor 9000 CA this year, after 5-6 years with my old Heaton 5. I need a mobile CA, and they are hard to find now-a-days. All the stuff I tried in the store was too big and bulky, made more for blocking, the Bauer was the only one that felt good right off the bat. There was a Vaughn that wasn't too bad weither, forgot which, Velocity I think. The CCM CA's were horrible. Couldn't move my arms. I wear suspenders over, and CA out of the pants (never understood how you can tuck it in?). Pants are TPS GP104.

Nope. ReidiC. Just like his old man's

I've been into Frontier sticks the last year or two. Before I was into all-wood TPS sticks, and didn't like foam-core because it didn't feel as stiff. The Frontier 9985G is foam-core, but still feels stiff as a regular all-wood stick. Thinner profile than Warrior. And best of all... Frontier sticks are made in Estonia
Here's my 14 year old son with one of my ...errr... now his... custom Frontier stick (reminder to self: have to double the size of my next order)

On the topic of non-traditional mask padding, I've noticed that some (maybe all?) pro goalies in Warwick masks now have a layer of Unequal behind the normal forehead foam. Unequal is a unique type of padding used most in football and baseball but is slowly creeping into hockey, with the most famous, but usually unnoticed example being Jonas Hiller who also uses it beneath his Maltese gel (it's the darker green, thinner padding). I've noticed this on both Cam Johnson from UND and Ryan Miller, so I wonder if Warwick is doing this now for all of their pro customers, possibly due to the new NHL regulations on masks?
Also, many Boston Bruins players use Unequal under their normal foam, from backup Anton Khudobin in his Pro's Choice mask, to Brad Marchand in his Bauer 5100 helmet and previously Patrice Bergeron in his VN lined Reebok 11K helmet. There are other NHL players who use Unequal as well, and while some say their claims are far-fetched, as long as it actually has some positive impact on head protection I say more people should use it.
How do you know exactly who is using it? Are you selling the stuff?

So this is the new GSBB?

Regarding V4's...which ones? Vaughn started "branching" the Velocity lines around that time...they aren't exactly the same pad...
