  1. no 27.5 warrior is not 26 ccm in all cases.

if u change the shoulder paddle pattern it will be diff on where u hold it

    AND

if the blade is flat vs rocker or semi rocker the connection to the ice and how where it is position is diff.

which also ties into the lie to an extent of the rocker shape.

so no dont make an assumption.

its as dumb as people asking what skate sharpness they have when they have all diff skill levels and diff ice temp and rockers profile on their blades.

of stupid people saying i need +1" thigh vs +2"thighrise on 2 diff brands and models at the retail level,  and diff years.

Would love to see a post or video comparing the thickness of an nhl ccm or bauer chest to retail models. Sadly I sold my AB18 otherwise I’d do it

higher grade foam and better material. its going to be thinner or the same. rest is aftermarket modification and eqm hacks and modifications

  3. just add a small knob on the shaft and hold it there.

the grip is whatever.  the stick lie, shape of  blade, flex is more important,  no pro can give crap about new marketing hype. rather stick to what already works. new material yes, not new features.

  4. technically speaking majority of pros have short paddle ( paddle is 3.5" wide)  the part where u hold the paddle is not the paddle if under 3.5, its the handle,

brobosky may have a 24" paddle per say or 23 , but measureing from where joint meets shaft is another 4 " or so , the stick might say 28" but he holds the paddle not which should not count as part of measurement in determine length.

also the shape of the blade is more important  which will change the feel of and mobility of hold the sticks and leaving holes

  5. even warrior has diff dept for goalie stick.  the retail custom one made overseas  the one the pros uses are made in mexico.

pros dont change models every year, they want consistency not some marketing gimmicks to buy newest sticks.

Large bit that hasn't been discussed is that Warrior has only really been prevalent in the last few years. That traction has yet to have carried up from youth goalies wearing it - many goalies will stick to what's familiar especially is they have success and comfort with what they're used to - CCM, Bauer, Vaughn.

IT HAS not carried up bc it requires major sponsorship at the different leagues lik USHL, college and jother jr leagues, they all have relationships in place and the team sponsonsorship or school sponshonship prob offers the school big discounts for bulk orders.  .

Out of curiosity, why are True pads and the CCM Axis pads sized bigger than normal .....

u cant pleased everyone, bc everyone has diff proportions just like sometime u fit in a med shirt and sometime u fit in a small or large.  best is to get it custom made sizing.

6'0 and using 26" CCMs Premier 2.9s. Height feels good, but I'm always looking to experiment with shorter. Is there any economical way to do this? For some reason all my goalie buddies use 27", even though I'm taller than them haha.

    double slope the paddle.
