That's been in place since the G5.

It's just a slit in the calf wrap so you can get a tighter feel instead of being forced into the cavernous leg channel that's been on the line since the G3.

not the slit, he undid the elastic strap and place them on the inside , not through the slot. go look at the pictures

  2. the pros get the equipment , people want it, retailers see nhl have it, mfr get retailer to front load orders in march april, mfg get the revenue and is happy , mfg make retail in offseason before the major upcoming season pro rush.

create the demand and then push the mfg offshore.

  3. if u r using any radius cut the steel contact is a  pivot point,  u need to get a CAG profile flat spot if u want more contact on skate blade.

if u take the blade out of the skate and put it on a clean table, with a radius it will spin on the table,  do it with a CAG with a flat spot it will not, its locked in.

  4. maybe the stance is wrong and causing u to be on the heels, there should be a slight forward lean. who know's without video .

maybe the skates are laced up wrong.

You can mail the skate blades to no-icing sports in new hampshire and get them back less then a week if in usa for profiling.

we live in a global economy no need to use local person.

no-icing being doing my blades for the last 6 years about 13 sets of blades and all sharpening in that time.

  5. Warrior is doing fine.

They could come out with a 2nd line of blocker that is super thin like the old CCM blockade and  or Bauer Hyperlite.

They need better copywriter and tester of equipment for marketing material and difference between years or at least give it to the retailers and have them display it or available.

    For the custom part:

Offer custom pad  sizing not stock sizing ,  this will benefit female players with small skate size and body size.

Offer Custom goal stick patterns to public not just retail patterns off the 3. that means from mexico not china, yes add a min order size.

retail stock -  offer thighrise bars to increase the stiffness of the pads on outside and do the same on the inside back of the pads.  Also add to that a thighrise board extension to pads similar to what SMITH hockey had on one of the pads. Maybe also add interchangeable shin face foam board sliding in from the side.

Need more anchoring point for additional straps adjustments.

more velcro loop on the leg protector for diff velcro options.

make boot risers removable and shin removable like g2 for better fit adjustment and sizing .

  6. sam and spry flat spot are both CAG,  SAM is a profile template that the skate sharpening profile machine company made up to generate additional revenue by selling the template bar to existiing company besides all the cheap stuff they sell, highest markup profit margin prob.  Same with spry and Tydan , but they are prob trying to generate skate sharpening and profile business by offereing something others dont have.  Anybody with the machine which is expensive can do those templates, just need two machine, but they usually have the only the prosharp machine and not the CAG.

the 11'-15' pasco recommends is almost the same flat spot as a cag b/c its so long except its still 1 point on a curve surface vs CAG which is  flat like a square vs circle.

Cam WARD, kevin weeks, brent johnson, quick, arturus irbe all use CAG.  Prob more but hard to get that info.

one thing not mentioned is how you lace the skates, if u do the skates all the way up u do not have ankle mobility and harder to engage the edge when having a long CAG 100mm and above.

    I use a a 80/160  CAG at 3/8 or 1/4 depending on conditions.

Skating stance and ability is another factor.

Someone mention eariler the front radius with 8' or 10' or whatever vs 30' has less edge to push is true also same with the back.  The front and back doesnt matter much to me i go with stock 30' dont even touch that and do a straight 80/160 across the bottom for last 5 years.

The G3s had leather straps option capabilities, right?

just for the boot, but so did the G2 - g5.  u prob can rig something up if u want leather for the other straps like mushroom straps for the calf  air slide velcro.

...I couldn't push hard out of RVH to the top of the crease. .....

u have to look to the top of the crease and shift lean the upper body.

go to travoilers video with pasco valana, like 2nd or 3rd video  , pasco explains the body goes where the head lead,  there are some other videos  on youtube  by pasco

  9. Brown will last the longest like 10+ years , its also most expensive, hottest and heaviest bc it uses plastic (vs hd foam) and low density foam.  Really no need for this in this time and age.

    and everything else is :

1 to 3-5 years depending level and usge bc the hd foam wil breakdown.

C/A now are lighter and more protective now but less durability.  pretty much disposable after 1 season for pros and 2 seasons for competitive hockey.
