You just can't settle on a set can you? lol

I dont think its so much that as being given bad advice or shafted

My first brians set i was measured for by the dealer.

    They were too big

Second set were the right size but brians made them wrong, it should of had flat knee rolls, theh just didnt add any.

Then i had warrior g4, tad to big.

Ive had a couple of dud g5 and when i finally settled on some good g5 covid kicked off and we had 18months of no hockey, so i sold up in the fear of not playing and a damaged knee from jogging of all things 😂 trying to keep fit

  2. may have just been europe? i know hockey monkey eu had a loads of pads for sale cheaper as they werent perfect.....

it didnt sour me, i still bought another set of g5 then covid hit.

i just think previous generations were better.

  3. the g5 range imo was a massive fail - at a snr level anyway, never get to see the pro stuff in the uk,

the glove was good, but the pads, there were so many badly made sets put out, the blocker wasnt to my liking, felt big and cumbersome.

  4. Fleury is more than a player hes a huge character in a dressing room, i put part of the pens crap few yrs down to him going. Vegas won't be as good, no offence to lenher but he wont cope with a 60game season.

And to find out over twatter well thats just a horrible thing to do.

  5. covid stopped me playing, im 38 now, been playing since i was 10yrs old, pretty much inline my whole life. ive been 99% injury free.

when covid hit the uk in mid march 19 - hockey stopped, we returned in late aug for a couple of practices and then stopped again,

in between that however, i started to jog ( massive mistake) this lead to a sore knee and has been since, really annoyed with the whole thing, its now been months and months since i last skate, and im itching to get back at it,

ive sold all my new gear as it was a waste, but still have my red paw cordura pads and blocker, im thinking knee brace and see how it goes!!!

  6. so finally had my first skate out in the g5 gloves,

first skate since early march, was fun..ive learnt my knees still not healed from running,

the gloves are a nice upgrade from the g4, i like the tighter strapping on the catcher, undecided if the coverage plus does anything, the blocker is more poppy than the g4, all in all nice upgrade,

still debating a g5 pad upgrade over the gt pads i have

  7. its such a shame on the sizing thing, been there myself in brians, made that expensive mistake,

i dont understand such a radical change in sizing, ive been a grown adult for a while now, and when i got my first new pads they were the vaughn v2 in a 35" pad, as were most of the pads i had round that time, slowly ive been going smaller and smaller to the point i cold actually use an intermediate pad in today's measuring terms,

the new white pad looks nice tbf, ive always liked the look of the ccm stuff in the past, even bought some of the cheaper stuff, ive just been spoilt by what i use now
