had the service from hockey monkey been there from the start, the bauer set would never have come, fwiw still not heard anything from warrior...........

a little update to my g5 situation

after initally having poor service from hockey monkey eu, im glad to say one of the social media reps really stepped up and has been amazing, 

from the looks of it, hm have been given a bad batch of pads, ive chosen the best of these. 

for me, esp being in the uk and ordering we get either full white, or full black sets mainly.

id rather the odd wrinkle and a nice design over all black.

so the 3s bauer stuffs going back, at my cost obs, and the warriors will be sent out over the next week

So decided NOT to replace the poor g5 i got with more warrior

The stock setup is good, like an elastic sliding toe bridge. 

I only changed so i didnt get stuck on my skate wheel

Gt but i did the same in my g4 

It allows me to still hook in crs style

Thats a shame, tbh i cant tell a difference in the quality of materials as the gloves are snr and the pads int 

Either way warrior has now lost me as a user. 

Just bought bauer pads

normally, i just speak louder and slower

so im totally not sure what to do now, if you look at teh right pad seam its pulling

ive asked if they will cover cost of return and if they can look at a fresh set thats not faulty, still no reply

my option after this is to look at something like the new bauer 3s snr stuff or the blow out on the s29 gear if anyone has any input

yeah i understand that they prob dont open them, there was a hockey monkey hat in the box though haha

i have my old pads so not an isssue, 

i dont really want to be standing the return charges though as its a fault

so the email from hockey monkey is basically,

Im more worried about the hole on the tee than the wrinkles on the pad, 

Its a bit annoying though when the sell of the pad is the best sliding surface, and its full of wrinkles.

Its not a biggie for me as im inline and will add slide plates. Just more an annoyance

Yeah ive been in warrior for a good while now and been happy, but when 2 out of 3 pieces are flawed its not the best. 

Im really unsure what to do now. Wether to even stay with warrior

Could you post a pic of what yours is like?

My main worry was my g4 wasnt like this and ive not see this on any of the pics ive seen. 

Just a bit pissed more than out, but if a seam blew out..

And last but not major the top of the pad corners not the same, 

Again right pad, 

Now i dont know if this is because its an intermediate pad or what but that coupled with the hole on the catcher. Im not that impressed after my initial happiness.

Am i being fussy

Second thing is the seams are very pulled, if you look at the right pad its not stright 

Ok so heres the things, 

Dont know if im being fussy, but for so much money i want to be sure, pretty sure my g4 weren't like this. 

So first issue is the wrinkles on the airslide 

The more i look at these pads the more im thinking i mite send them back, what i though was good craftsmanship isnt looking that way. Pics to follow
