  1. I think bauer should retain the option to order at least one "classic" line. With 1S and new Vapor line, bauer will not now have option for goalie, who wants "traditional pads and gloves". For example, I´m a long time bauer customer (almost every piece of equipment), but don´t like 1S material and concept (new Vapor looks very similar from photos).
  2. Andersen XLT pads and blocker from stadium series game (I think they were overpriced then, but maybe not) & Hiller KOHO Glove - should buy, when got a chance :

Like the colours, it is simple, but looks very good. Why not SZ3 blocker for a set?
  4. Nice setup FIFTY-SIX. btw. What is your thigt rise +3, +4 ?

Yeah, sadly . Don´t have time to play inline now, but maybe one day... you know .
  6. Both of the gloves are little heavier than stock NXG gloves. Catcher has stiched wrist guard, so it feels almost like one piece, fitted for smaller hands. In my opinion extremly good in terms of protection and craftmanship. Colours are little crazy . I use them only for matches / games, not for trainings. I got them thanks to a friend who get me more things from the Ducks. He had the opportunity to buy them and phoned me. Maybe, they will end in showcase one day... Pads - mod was made on knee block, so there is jenpro layer over the nylon now. But I didn´t find any problems in sliding with nylon, only it was wear down and needed to be repaired.
  7. From Saturday tournament (goalies are not forced to use team jerseys):

Just for... nothing, design (maybe). To prevent rotation of pads. Yes, back in the day, rotation was problem . They are old school pads and it is not easy to play in them, if you are not used to. But I still see some older goalies play with them. Personaly I never played with those pads on ice - bought them some years ago on sale for a realy fraction of price (last piece of old school model, which no one would like to buy) to use them on hobby summer inline. Long story short - I was injured (ankle) before I can even use them and never play inline hockey from then...

Thanks, liked old reactor line (Cujo, Hašek..) when I was young, but no chance I could have them at that time. Still I can not convince myself to send pads to someone else... It looks like they stay with me .

I bought them for 2010-2011 season, but they were made in 2007, so this was standard. Above knee strap is there for nothing... Pads I use now are very different it that:

... actually, I made only 3 mods: 1. skate lace instead of string 2. replaced thigh guards with knee pads 3. the small gap in knee padding was annoying, when I tried straps loose. So I put another foam block there (not at photo).

Yes, I think czech company m4g will do that, some time ago we were talking about Hiller KOHO revolution gloves colne. Why not make custom pads, if your customer pays for.. Or slovak company ReasonY (my friend owns it ). It is about the money you want to spend.... Buying equipment in US/CAN is not only about money you must spend on fees, taxes and transport. The biggest problem is that many sellers do not want to send to Europe. I can not understand why - when I am willing to pay in advance . EDIT: Another thing is, that I´m very satisfied with my KOHO pads now, so there is no need to build custom pads now.
  16. Just question Chester, why you decided to use this material (don´t know the exact word in English, maybe "mesh" ?) on the back part? Are you not you afraid of tearing?

Thanks for tips, but it is realy hard for me to get custom pads from US/CAN company, as I´m in Europe and not a Pro (e.g. taxes, transportation, customs...). But there are small companies with custom eqipment here too (M4G, DV Hockey). Maybe I´ll take those pads and let them make some changes? Not decided yet, because now I use them really only sometimes (once per week / 2 weeks) .

Will buy them again too, only changes should be wider knee area and remove graphic from sliding part (knee area). But with actual bauer production, I don´t see that happen soon .

Using pro return NXG gloves now, they have tight fit, perfect for my smaller hands. Great gloves. And still got NikeBauer Supreme SE 3´s at home .
