    I may not be far off though. I'll probably still get a Warrior set along with Axis XF just so I have something I know I like and can fall back on.

    Maybe they are maybe they aren't who knows. Maybe it'll be in my opinion a better pad and blocker than bauer and possibly warrior.

    I can see them revising supreme to make it feel like a 580 but there's no way they change the shape. They won't touch the vapor glove line either.

    Huge fan of warrior's boot design that's super flexible but has a hard limit thanks to the stiff outer rolls. I think true was the first to bring the toe box to the attention of buyers on 12.2 when they moved the toe bridge more inwards to give a target for the post.

    It was my favorite piece on ultrasonic and 2S. Especially 2S because the fused boot played the post super nicely

    No idea what they could possibly do to innovate on Mach besides carry over the bindingless edge and the skin from HL2. Maybe bring back the 2S boot angle for more consistent rebounds? Betting most of the focus for Shadow is on the glove. I'll be very curious to see if people prefer these or another brand's version. The bungee zone appears to only be added to help the velcro line up properly

    Yup that's correct. But now with the way a lot of pros using pretty standard custom options it should be easier to get someone in warrior

    I think it's more that markstorm hasn't been doing all that great and eyes are on Levi but that could be a factor. The struggle will be getting markstrom out of a ccm 580 and into a G7.1 As it stands now any team hiding training camp goalie pictures is suspicious in my eyes.

    This past year CCM hasn't promoted guys like markstrom and Demko nearly as much as they had previously which means they've probably given up on that pair and are focusing more on younger talent like Devon Levi. If CCM's gear contract ends with Markstrom this year that leaves the door open for Warrior to hopefully once again pursue Markstrom. (No idea on the timelines of equipment contracts)

    Looking back at that picture of the glove it is super strange how similar of a shape it is to optik 3 but I'm not sure it shares a shape with anything else on the market

    IIRC it wasn't a proper 90 degree glove. It was 90 degree in the same sense a Warrior palm is 90 degrees. The finger stalls were moved to alter the break

    Agreed. G6.1 is better about not sending shots straight up compared the previous warrior blockers but it's so much more connected than before as well and I think a lot of that comes from the thicker backhand padding. Trying a friend's G6.0 it's just as connected as G6.1
