chile57
Folks - as the title implies - I’m old school and know what I like and am looking for a “new” offering akin to those listed in the header - 90-ish (or acute angle territory when flexing) boot, double breaks, knee rolls and a “stuffed” pad with torsional flex (not a solid core construction). Reached out to Simmons but with Boddam closing (?) - they are no longer offering the UL line. Only manufacturer that came to mind was PAW… maybe? Anybody got any intel on PAW’s ability to do so or other suggestions in general? FYI - for… reasons - I’m not interested in Battram. Appreciate any insight. kat30
I'm not too familiar with older pads, but Brown Hockey offers some different styles. I believe they are willing to modify any of their lines but unsure to what extent. Maybe worth shooting them an email? https://www.brownhockey.com/leg-pads
pfeiffjay54
Surprised Simmons wouldn’t do it. Ask kenesky as they still make some old school stuff. Paw might do it too like you thought
chile57
Wow - off my game. Completely glazed over Kenesky @pfeiffjay54 - thanks for the reminder. I’m afraid the landing gear on some of the Brown offerings might be a little too “old school” for me @kat30 but appreciate the thought. What can I say? I’m picky.
dreadlocked1
I would check sideline swap occasionally for a good condition set of what you're looking for. There's a lot pf old Vaughn sets on there. You could possibly find some new old stock pads.
chile57
Does anyone know if Boddam is still kicking? Their site looks operational and I found some 2021/2022 vintage postings on their gear…
