I have the CCM CL Pants (totally different type of gear I know), but I do love the protection on them. I think this could be a good middle ground for you and give you more mobility. Although the Reebok Premier 2 and later the 11K (KFS) seemed to follow a similar path, and I always thought this seemed like the evolution of that line vs the P1. Maybe look into some thoughts on the 11K, as that might help with a little insight on this guy! I would imagine there are crazy deals to be had on anyone still stocking these.
