    Yeah Bauer focuses on performance first and everything else second, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing at all

    my 2x set has some durability issues as well. Nothing compared to the 1s type stuff but it is more than fair to say Bauer has more issues than some other brands overall.

    that weird binding at the top sure is a decision! overall I like the graphic. less boring than the 2s if nothing else.

    Warriors stuff is getting a bit stale and that graphic doesn't look it's gonna change that much. hopefully they will have some new features but I am not holding my breath for anything more than another incremental upgrade from the G4/GT2

    I found the stock steel on the FT2 skates to be awful. noticeably less sharp after 1 skate.

    I am really curious how the glove feels compared to the Gnetik IV EDIT: forgot you did 90 degree break so that wont really help me much.

    this thread prompted me to go ahead and order some step blacksteel for my 2x pro skates. I went about twice as long between sharpenings on my old step steel than I can now on the bauer steel. I figure it will pay for itself over time.

    thats perfect. thanks! seems like the only difference is that it's not as wide and doesn't have that thick piece of foam inside it?

    I would be curious to know what the upcharges for all those various changes were.

    I don't really see what sort of incremental updates they could do to the 2s. I wonder if it is a more substantial change? Maybe the strapping could be improved a bit.

    sure feels fingers to palm to me!

    the 2X is definitely a 580 style and I just cannot get used to it. Always feels like the glove is gonna just fall off my hand if a hard shot hits it.

    Do cages from other manufacturers(custom cages, goalieparts etc) work on the protechsport masks or would you have to get any replacement cage from Michel? Debating ordering a mask from him but would like to get a more colorful/different style(open mouth cat eye) of cage
