  1. are you allowed to post pics of it or is that still classified info?
  2. I will have a party if the professor strap option is legit. Vapor strapping with a professor strap is pretty much perfect
  3. it stretched a bit but nothing I couldnt pretty easily fix after I removed them. My kenesky strap was elastic though so it probably didnt put as much pressure on it as the nylon one would have.
  4. off the back. I was wearing pretty bulky knee pads at the time and that combined with the relatively small knee block on the vapor pads was causing the problem I think. The Kenesky strap helped a ton.
  5. I had mine made out of elastic so it didnt put too much pressure on the cord, but yeah I agree its not great and best to be avoided. Hoping for a stock option.
  6. would be awesome if a professor strap was an option. I added the Kenesky one to my 2X pads and it made a huge difference. Before that I was slipping off the knee stack once or twice a game.
  7. Nice to see the back can be something besides black or white finally.
  8. pretty sure a new 960 is coming out

    R/M1 goal stick

yeah I was unclear whether this is separate from or replacing the R/V1 line
  10. thats what I am planning to do with the ultra sonic assuming they expand the customizer a bit beyond what was available for the 2S. Don't want to get white based pads again.
  11. typically it is mid-May. last year the customizer for 2X came out in March.
  12. I am getting very impatient waiting for more info about this line to come out! hurry up Bauer!
  13. it probably depends on foot shape more than anything. I would have to size down a half size for the Grafs to work for me.
  14. i have had issues with this in the past and the usual culprit is not having my hands out front and engaged as much as they should be. When they are further back I tend to naturally drop them as I go into butterfly and just don't have the time to get them back up if the shot is high.
  15. I wear an 8.5D Bauer 2x and ordered an 8.5 regular in the Graf. Width felt pretty similar between them but there was definitely more room in the graf. A combo between a deeper heel pocket and the padding being a bit less thick.
  16. https://www.instagram.com/p/B8bhQrAAOae/?igshid=1cptknlejge2r got them yesterday and took some pics. Returning them because they fit a bit too loose. Overall they seem really nice! There is definitely a more pronounced heel pocket to them, which made them fit a bit looser than by Bauer 2x skates. May try ordering a half size down but haven't decided yet.
  17. I just ordered these to try. Figure I can return them and just be out shipping cost if the fit is bad. Will post some pics either way.

really curious to see how they have changed the strapping, if at all. It has been basically the same since the G3 so you would think an update is in order.

I have a feeling the angled knee block and external break are mainly there to show off those being custom options now. would be surprised if stock sets had that external break.
  20. I hope we get more details on this line soon. Really curious to know what is changing aside from the knee block. Hoping they expand the custom options quite a bit.

yeah most of Bauers issues are almost entirely related to the cortech skin and some generally lower quality control. The one thing you dont have to worry about is the pad internals losing stiffness or anything like that. Vaughn internals were notorious for breaking down but that has gotten better over time. I dont think its anything you really need to worry about with a modern line of pads.
  22. not gonna lie, the 1x was one of the worst chestys I have ever worn. Protection is good it's just the arms literally never break in

Definitely a hell of a lot better looking than the ve8. It’s hard to tell from that view but I hope they thinned out the profile a bit
  24. they can just leave the eflex line as is if they would just use primo/quickslide on the sliding surface.
