  1. Need some black padskiz on that glove and you're all set. One thing I do miss about white based gear is the puck marks. My dark set just doesn't show the badges of honour in the same fashion.
  2. Only two skates in and so far so good. I'm coming from a pair of 44k's which makes the transition fairly easy as these models were launched side by side. Only difference is the stiffer boot. So aside from the usual growing pains of breaking in a new pair of skates and the slight adjustment to the stiffer boot / new steel, they've been great. I can't honestly say if they're an improvement yet, but my set of 44k's needed to be replaced anyways.
  3. They were left overs from the fire sale that the hockey shop had over a year ago. I've got small enough feet thst they still had a pair of these kicking around.
  4. New CCM Tacks. Went down to the shop to try on new skates. Bauer toe caps still don't fit my gnarled big toe so I'm a ccm only guy. Tried on the Tacks, AS1's, and FT2's. FT2's fit alright but we're a bit tight. Which is too bad since I did want to join the cowling less crowd. Came down to the AS1's or the previous tacks. I was looking at the next step down of the AS1's (which are identical in spec to the previous tacks) but then I was given an offer of the tacks at $250CAD. So $500 off of retail price. Happy with my purchase and am excited to get these going.
  5. Yea definitely not every line. But pretty sure there's a line or two a year you're visibly excited for.
  6. The 2200 caries the same overall feel as the Ventus/SLR series. So the catch angle would be reminiscent of the 600 break with CCM. Just note, CCM gloves feel a lot different than a Vaughn glove, even with the same catch angle. Edit: Take seagoal's advice over mine. He's Mr. Vaughn.
  7. You say that about every new hyped release.
  8. Slap shot from the point through a small screen. Caught it in the bicep area and was able to cradle it. Not sure if the padding shifted a bit and it caught in between the seams or not or if it was just a lucky circumstance that ruptured an artery or something. In the 1.5 years I've had my R/GT Pro C/A, I've had about 3-4 stingers in that area. This one just got me good.
  9. Slapshot from the point left this doozy on my bicep. This is two days old at this point.
  10. Poor photos grabbed from my leagues twitter. But hey, pics are pics.
  11. Pretty sure it comes down to the goalie's preferences. There's good and bad puck handlers with every break of glove in the NHL.
  12. That was my second gif in the prayer column
