The other goalie on my team bought a new glove, but they only had it in black in the shop, and he was feeling a little down about it because it wasn't matching his mostly white other white gear. Then I saw a pro goalie on TV with a black glove...and then another...and now you. Is this a "thing" now? Or just a string of coincidences?

I mean the Bauer Reactor 9000, it's their "hybrid" CA (opposed to the Supreme "butterfly" CA). The 9000 is a great unit. I don't know what they changed it to now, I guess 1X is hybrid? Altho I just looked quick and the 1X chesty looks nothing like the Reactor.

Does any goalie in the NHL use a Bauer Reactor (ie: not Supreme) chest? I just got one and love it, very mobile and protective. Kinda surprised to see alot of SUpremes on this thread and not any Reactor (unless I missed it?)

Yea, it's not too bad...and we do have one sponsor with some blue in their ad, so I justify it to myself that my pads match to that ...any way, I'm doing what I can to change our logos and colors when we get new jerseys in a year or two. ...or else yea, I'll just find a team with blue/black jerseys and switch to that team

Yea, I have that problem too. I normally buy White/Blue/Black gear, becauseit's the Estonian national colors, and I just like them. Usually, it manages to match my teams. But right now, I'm playing on 2 teams, and both are red/black. I'm tempted to buy red/black gear, because it would match BOTH my teams, and make sense. ...but then I would lose the blue/black/white scheme I have worn for almost 20 years Sweet pants. Would match my team perfect I'm not normally into retro pads, but those are cool. What are they?

Regarding V4's...which ones? Vaughn started "branching" the Velocity lines around that time...they aren't exactly the same pad...

The Gnetik should break like a Gnetik! Personally, I like the SZ break, don't like the Gnetik break at all. SZ is something like 40° fingers/thumb, and Gnetik is more like a 90° (580) or something like that. Before my SZ gloves, I had TPS R12, and in my opinion it's kind of similar. My son has Bauer One90 gloves, and they feel similar to me as well (altho he doesn't think so). Glove breaks are so hard to classify... I tried on my old T6000 the other week before I sold it, and my God, I have no clue how I caught anything with that. The words "Pancake Trapper" popped right into my head. No depth in the pocket at all.

We just took our team pic last week, and thought it would be a good idea for a thread. So here it is. I'll stick some older team pics up as well... Current team (since 2013) HC St.Ursen Grizzlies in the Sensler Cup League (Div.4 was replaced in Freiburg by this league) Oh yea, all teams are in Switzerland.. Now to dig back... to 2001, EHC Boll in Div.3 EHC Rot-Blau from 2002-2007, Div.4 (they also have a Div.1 and Senior team, which is why there's so many people in the pic) HC Bätterkinden Flames, 2010-2012 Div.4 And the first year with my current team 2013 - ? And some "not really my team" pics... In 2010 I won some tourny with the Rot-Blau Senior (40+) team: ...and earlier this year (2017) I won some championship subbing for some team:

I think Warrior only does 3-packs on composite sticks (or Foam-core as well?) I usually don't break too many sticks either, but anyway retire 2 sticks every season just due to the fact they are beat to hell and lost stiffness. This season I did break two already: one of my old all-wood TPS RW4 got the blade cracked on a close, hard shot (not uncommon to happen to all-wood sticks), and then one of my Frontiers had the shaft splinter. On one 3rd League team I trained with last week, the other goalie broke 2 sticks in the one training (!) One looked like a low-end Fischer, so not surprising, but the other was a decent looking Warrior. Maybe they were already damaged, who knows. Even tho all-wood sticks are not so durable on the blade, I'm still a sucker for them, I love the feel, very stiff. I just ordered a 3-pack of all wood DR sticks, they had an Aramid strip on the shaft, looked like my old TPS, I'll have to see when I get them. Maybe I'll order more, if possible (the shop only had 3 in stock, and were not sure if they could get more, said they were samples )
