I have to rob some gas-stations once in a while, but that's what dads are for But actually, my younger son gets the hand-me-down gear from my older son, so it works out.

Not me, but my kids in action last weekend. Older son (16) in blue, and younger in yellow (11). Both goalies... of course...

Regarding the foam, as a rule of thumb, I try not to go more than 4 years without changing the foam. When I compare the new and old foam, it's easy to see the difference. Old one his harder and stinkier. New foam is not as "compressed" as the old (and smells/looks better of course ) Regarding the shell, that's up to you. If it looks good with no cracks/chips then I'd say you can still use it. For me, I've had ReidiC masks the last 20 years, they are made of ABS plastic, so never any chipping or cracking Swapping the foam is simple too, since it's held in with velcro. I don't know why all the other mfgrs glue it in. How are you supposed to swap it out? I think WALL uses velcro, for sure in the W4 (I had one briefly), not sure about the higher end like the W10 tho. I think I'm going to switch to WALL in a few years as ReidiC is pretty much out of business (I think I'm their last customer )

If you haven't replaced the foam in the 8 years that you owned the mask, you should definitely do it now. Or just buy a new mask if you feel it's time.

The first 5 years I lived in Switzerland I didn't have a car and took the bus 2-3x per week to play hockey (not team bus, regular bus)

I've also got an X5, sometimes me and my son practice on the same team together, and it fits us both together with gear as well.

Too bad, nice looking set. Do you know is the e3.9 similar to the pro pads in terms of weight and bulk? My son has a Eflex 860 (SR) set, and I compared his blocker to my Brian's SZ Pro, and the CCM is noticeably heavier. I was wondering if the CCM Eflex Pro blocker is the same weight (?)

You mean a downgrade from your H5? But seriously, I got a few years left in my H5 and still think it's the best CA ever made. Light, protective, mobile. Ticks all the boxes. Just needs a heartguard maybe. But since I'm heartless, it doesn't matter I've got a Bauer Reactor 9000 CA lined up next, and the Warrior R/GT felt pretty mobile in the shop. But Somebody should really make clones of the H5, it's like the T5500 of CA's.

I've never seen Graf skates made anywhere outside Canada or Switzerland. Which are somehow two separate entities (Graf Switzerland and Graf Canada) Graf Switzerland's website says "Made in Switzerland" right on top.
