Here you go fellas.  There’s a grip band on the inner top of the sleeves which helps keep them from slipping down, although the knee pad itself also keeps them compressed pretty well.  I get zero slippage/movement on my knee pads with these.

Nice! Those look comfy too. Do you find it to ever be too tight or just right amount of tightness?

FWIW, I used to skate with some Ducks staff and one of the guys had a Ryan Miller stick. 24.5" is what was printed on the stick and also on the 3rd pic below. So Bobrovsky's might be even shorter (22" or 22.5") than what InGoal says.

    Interesting, thanks for sharing this!

I have a game tonight so I'll try and remember to take a pic.  They last me a good while- I've gotten about a year out of a pair but I can probably get more out of them.  They're cheap enough to replace every once in a while.

A pic would be cool to see for me as well. I have always wondered if compression pants would be too tight over a knee pad, but i suppose if the knee pad is small enough it should be okay. Likely not the way to go for my giant KOHO 589 knee pads, but always nice to see what other goalies are doing.

I saw Merzlikins wear something similar in an older Bauer instagram post but from the position of the stripes on the sock it looked more like he cut off the bottom and then added elastic under the knee pad. But I could be wrong. I can't wear the knitted socks they make me too hot but I am happy you found something that works for you.

Just looked it up now. Yeah, seems similar.

  5. Nice. I think I've seen pro's do something similar to get that tight fit on the knee for the knee pads.

I have never needed to go to this extreme (yet) but I've noticed the lack of tightness if a beer league team's socks doesn't fit quite right. Luckily 1 of my current teams knitted socks have shrunk a bit, making it tight enough for my knee pads.

Thinking it over I'm probably just going to sew a layer on top of the existing flaps instead of a new one. I really like the existing mobility and think that one that snuck through was more of a one-off (and is a very covered spot normally).

Sounds great! Let us know how it goes.

I'm in a divorce meeting with my wife and our attorneys the other day. Her attorney was trying to make a point that I "spend too much on new goalie gear". I almost fell out of my chair. This is the museum vintage gear I currently wear. Most of it is from the 90s.

My wife is desperate to make me look bad and justify why she wants a divorce. Truthfully she's just an out of control narcissist thinking she's better than everyone else.

I'm not mad. Please just go. Thanks for the laugh of having your expensive lawyer learn about goalie gear from the 1990s.

    Show them this picture lol

Does Edmonton have the market cornered on goalies that play like beer leaguers? Pickard and Campbell play like beer leaguers trying to keep their heads above water at this level. At least Skinner looks like a professional as he plays. Of course, I root for guys like Campbell and Pickard, I’m just surprised they’re out there.
And I know that Campbell is currently in the minors.

    Could be!

I've always heard that about Gibson in Anaheim too.

That would be awesome if you could. I'm 5'11 190lbs and wear a large passau pro pack so kind of bulky c/a. The GM jerseys I'm using right now aren't hindering my movement but definitely on the more "fitted" side in the chest and arms. I was thinking of going with A2XL which is supposed to be 58inch. The only thing that I'm unsure of is my GM is supposedly 61inch by their measurements and is a little snug in the chest so a 58inch GC might not work.

Upon the review of my jersey, I don’t think these are the K3G ones, but I could be wrong. Didn’t see any markings.

    here are the pics.

  11. As for OP, my weekend team uses Kobe jerseys. I like them too, as they fit nicely around the neck and the sleeves also don't feel to loose. Fit around the torso feels balanced. Not super tight but not too much fabric, either. I like it.

My jersey size is Adult Goalie. Not sure exactly what size, but I'd guess Adult Goalie Large, as I'm a small goalie (5 FT 5) and it works for me.

If you're a bigger guy, maybe you should go for the Adult Goalie XL jersey size ?

Let me know if you need a picture and I'll see if I can grab one to show the cut.

@xmikex32 for reference - PSP jersey I'm wearing in my profile picture is a Kobe jersey. For reference - I'm about 5'-4"/150lbs. Jersey is definitely not on the long side like my Men's League Sweater (which has the parabola "RBK" cut that the Kobe does not). Arms on both are about the same level of snug without being tight (though I have nothing in my arms cinched down) which might require a bit of adjusting when I get dressed but is nothing I notice thereafter. Hope that helps.

As someone around the same height, it is diifult finding a jersey that feels short enough but tight.snug on the arms. Thanks

I use same knee pads and they are great. They just don´t fit to every pads, there must be a lot of space in knee area.

Yeah, they've worked well for me for about 5 years now. Thinking of picking up a spare set for whenever they need replacing. Still going strong though.

And yeah, you definitely need an open knee cradle to make these things work. Well worth it in my opinion.
