So I've only had 1 Vaughn Blocker in my life... and it was a number of years back... a V4... and I actually really liked it. Dennis over at Factory Mad has my gear at the moment and one thing I've tasked him with is improving the feel of my current Koho 589. Getting a back of hand pad and replacing foams... maybe even intermediate palm (although doubtful.) If it doesn't work out as well as I'd hoped... I may be asking you for some more info on yours.Good looking piece... even if it is on the wrong hand.

Thank you! Need more ice times with it so I have a legitimate review in it though.

Yea, it’s kinda like a silver honeycomb pattern on the white

That’s sick. Might use that for future setups. I know this sounds weird but how’d you ask for it? The only options I had on goaliemonkey were plain jenpro and weave

And you too! The material looks a little different from weave on the graphic, or is that just me?

As an expert on low-quality goalerizing myself (like, to the point that nobody takes any pictures of me) it looks like you're holding your stick in the wrong hand; Fix that, and you should see some improvement.

Nah, my glove hand has actually gotten decent, sorry to disappoint ?

Seems like product development of neckguards is not so important thing.

Seems like it. it’s definitely one of the more important pieces of equipment especially if you’re a shorter goalie. More likely to get hit in the head/sternum area from higher level players than your stomach and chest, just from my experience

When held perpendicular to the ice, a tilt in the board like that is designed to mitigate aerial angle of the puck and keep the puck from popping up and over (helps goalie maintain eyes on puck).  This is the main purpose.

If you are in good position with sufficient depth, you will rarely need to extend the blocker so the toe points to the boards (parallel to the ice)

Here's Greiss with a textbook example.

This really helps a lot. I ordered a custom LT98 blocker and hope that drastic angle helps me track it better. I have good eyes but when it pops over the top of my blocker like that it’s difficult to track where it went, sometimes it’ll pop out right in front of me, that being said it could be at those times I’m not redirecting them correctly but sometimes the shots so fast you’re just trying to save it haha

What is considered evil here? Having white pads?

No, but you’re probably a conspiracy theorist. Or you think it actually looks cool until it looks like shit over the long run

And so you can ditch the title of "Full Right Scum"?

I prefer southpaw scum.. starts with the same letter and fits with my username.

You can pay for a new harness from any of many internet stores.  At least you'll get what you paid for.

Haha I know. I actually found something online that doesn’t cover my backplate, wasn’t even planning on getting monster products after I read this thread.
