sure feels fingers to palm to me!

I know it feels a little different but its definitely a 590.  From InGoal: Vapor 2X Pro glove closes more like a CCM 590, with a 60-degree break and the fingers pulling more into to the base of the thumb or palm.  Vs the 2S Pro closes more like a CCM 600 or Vaughn 5500 break, with the fingertips pulling to the end of the thumb.

First skate tonight..   overall impression... WOW.  @TheGoalNet was right, this unit simply gets it done.  Feeling of an old unit you've been wearing for years right out of the box.

Arms are super flexible but still offer solid protection.  No stingers, you feel the shot but thats it.  Took 2 really solid rips to my right pec and left arm with no issues.

Did have one goal skip off the left floater but i think that was poor technique on my part.

Materials are top notch and I definitely was not as hot as my GT pro.

Little late to report but I used these for the first time Sunday night.  The suspenders worked like suspenders, really nothing to report on that.  The attachment points work great.  So much nicer than the rubberish plastic clips utilized by the A&R suspenders I've used prior.  The TGN straps are a nice addition.  I wear my c/a untucked and always run my suspenders over.  I usually run them to the inside of the shoulder floaters closer to my neck to help keep them in place.  The TGN straps worked perfectly to keep the strap centered over the floater.  This was nice because it prevented the floaters from being forced outwards by the strap.  All of the floaters and padding stayed perfectly in line the way it is designed to be.  The setup felt different from what I am used to doing.  I don't really recall what it was the felt different, maybe just the way everything integrated now?  Whatever it was, it wasn't anything negative and surely not something that caused me any issues getting used to.  Huge thanks to @KovaGoalie for the awesome design of these suspenders and to @TheGoalNet for collaborating with Kova to come up with these TGN straps!

The other piece of gear I deputed for the first time Sunday night was something I had mentioned in another thread, which I cannot seem to locate at this time unfortunately.  I had mentioned that I love the design of the Outsider Straps but feel the elastics used are subpar when compared to what I was used to wearing.  I had said I would love to have the elastics used by Pro's Choice, which are far more superior, mated to the connecting tabs of the Outsider Straps.  So I decided to make it happen.  I ordered a set of straps from Dom, I ordered some strips of jenpro from another source, and I had everything put together.  They came out perfect and they work far better than the originals.

    Pics of the new straps?

Which glove break is the best for shooting/puck handling? Also, would switching from a 590 break to a 600 break be a big difference?

580 is notorious for being the best at puckhandling.  It's preference on how you hold your stick (although most goalies use the Turco method).

    From InGoal:

Are you concerned about the additional weight from the extra padding and Lexan in the blocker? I recall from one of the other member's testing that Lexan was significantly heavier than the standard blocker boards.

He added lexan to the IV TGN spec so I'm guessing he's comfortable with the extra weight

So I just measured out my shin and depending on where I stop the measurement I would be between 21.5 to 22 inches for floor to knee.  Then adding 11 inches above my knee I get 37+1.5 or 38+1.

I guess I really need to find somewhere with a 36" pad to try as I am pretty sure none of the stores around here will stock either of those sizes.

Just remember that new pads will play differently especially with the hypercomp in the face.  You'll likely wanna ditch the boot strap and the pad will sit higher.  Warrior also doesn't move the knee block up a full inch on the 37 vs a 38.  It's 1.2" at the knee and 1/2" on the thigh.

Best off to try some on at a store or deal with one of the better retailers. I highly recommend @TGC-Rance and the fellas at the Goalie Crease.  They'll be able to take care of all your questions and size you up right

  7. Warrior sizing strictly goes by a Foot to Knee measurement.  Its really foolproof

The other thing to remember that new pads will feel and fit far different than your V3s.  Take your skates and maybe your pants to help fit proper.  But the fit chart is dead on.  I'm a 19.75 FTK and I wear a 33+1.5 with no boot strap.

The other recommendation I would make is getting an elastic toe tie.  The Warrior ARS is okay, it can be snug.  Pro Laces has a 10% off sale right now with a "TRAVSUCKS" coupon code.  I have GT Pros and love them (and your hips, knee and ankles will thank you):
