I apologize if this has been asked already, but those of you that use these, do the velcro straps hold up a decent amount of time? I used the first version of the Brian's smart straps and they did not work well, as the velcro wore out after a couple weeks. I've tried a couple different options which seem to function well, but don't last (often breaking mid game) and I keep going back to regular laces.

I ordered a set of prolaces in the TGN spec, based on a lot of the reviews, but I was curious as to how they are holding up, specifically at the attachment point

They're very durable.  They're not just Jenpro and and the velcro piece.  Beefed up and able to take a lickin!

    Oh god.

I spent the last hour writing my review just now and somehow clicked Back or another tab or something and lost it all.

I hope no one cares about what I think because Review Attempt #2.0 will probably be less coherent.

Usually the content is autosaved.  I've found that before.  Chrome seems to do it anyways

Bauer I'm not surprised about. Pretty sure Bauer and CCM are the biggest guys for pushing MSRP's.

The CR1 I didn't look at, but the V1 Pro's and Pro +'s are all eligible.

    Damn you

The Hockey Shop is having another 20% off sale sitewide today. Code is: FATHER2019

Picked up a R/GT2 senior chesty for $304 CAD and free shipping. That's like $225 US :)

And we just had a long talk about Peer Pressure... Meanwhile, THS is open in the other tab...

EDIT: Didn't work for sale sticks...

Careful, we are shunned on here for liking split outer rolls.  But I did it right, I think, in my biased, subjective opinion.  Ha.

Your set shows just why a split outer roll works.  Its not simply split to add an accent color... It flows with the graphic and color scheme you chose.  Usually Vaughn pro goalies are the worst for it

I dig it. It takes a lot of cojones to go the ugly for ugly sakes design route.

  7. That stock graphic is one of the busiest and less visually appealing of anything else on the market right now.

The 1 piece glove, bindingless blocker and the tweaks to the pads have me interested tho.

Interesting. Thanks for the responses. Definitely more of a “chocolate” color than I thought. Was hoping it looked closer to the dark, more worn leather look. Will have to play with the customizer more.

I was thinking the same... If I go GT2 I want Retro.  The brown seams more chocolate which doesn't quite capture the retro feel...

Has anyone seen a Warrior set using a lot of the “Brown” color (as opposed to “Retro Tan”) in the wild?

I am finding myself really interested in another retro set but was thinking of going with the darker Brown to change it up. Just hard to get a sense of what that color actually looks like in person.

Not that it helps much, but here’s a mock-up:

It's definitely not a common color for Warrior custom gear. And I think most guys stick with retro tan. I do think if you do the right accent colors you could have a pretty good-looking set. An example of that would beScreenshot_20190519-123105.thumb.png.3f066e0e093a4b5d32543a8c1d12acf1.png

  10. I'm insanely confused.  And is the number of elastic straps needed... This looks like Hellebuyck made the switch to elastic straps...

Curious if they removed weight from their pad and will offer a bindingless blocker and 1 piece glove

Seeing some wear despite only using them approximately 5 or 6 times.

The little thread coming loose is on both knee cradles. Not a big deal though, I think. Trimming it and using a lighter might be enough to solve it.

The wear on the thigh rise, though, has been gotten a little bigger since I first noticed it after the second skate.

I'll throw some shoe-goo on it and hopefully it'll stop any more wear.

Further review will be coming. I have been in between C/As so I haven't had much opportunity to play.

I think the fraying was an issue on the G4s.  I really don't understand the need for that design change
