There's a difference between giving an opinion:

"I don't think you should put your straps on your floaters as it can potentially eat coverage"

And stating an opinion as fact:

" You do NOT put it ontop of your damn floaters it will eat up inches on your coverage. If you have issues with your chesty it's not for you sorry...that's reality"

The guy was asking a pretty genuine question and your opinion on the matter isn't invalid (though it's factually incorrect), but there are much better ways at conveying your stance than how you initially went about it. I get being unapologetic for your opinions or comments on an online forum, but c'mon man. Why so aggressive about straps on floaters? Seems really odd thing to be angry about.

Because it's pretty stupid in my opinions and useless, services no purpose, the same way some guys are double jocking 😐🤔

But hey like I said, others can do as they please. Whatever feels "comfortable ". Perhaps individuals should do more homework on the equipment they buy, what works for them and not the guy next door.

Its slso clear that @Jonathon v has an issue with this... that he feels that these suspenders are pushing down his floaters making him feel restrictedup high. It's in black and white, pretty much told him that he shouldn't due that if he doesn't want that happening. Perhaps that's not the chesty for him, or maybe he needs to get used to it...I don't know, hopefully he figures it out.  We are talking about a $700 chesty here, it's not cheap. He needs a solution, "make a glove save" "stand tall" isn't tla solution.

I don't need to go back and forth on this, it's self explanatory.

    Ciao.

The only way the added coverage you get from an unrestrained floater to stop guys from regularly picking the corners, is if you have a viciously illegal chesty - the rest of us use our gloves.

And BTW @mr_shifty1982, try to lose the attitude: the OP asked a legit questions, no need to go all "WWE" on him

Gave my opinions, I'm straight forward... I'm no wwe wrestler. if you don't like it, that's for you to deal with.

If my chesty gives ne an extra few inches of coverage with my floaters my suspenders aren't going over it bottom line. Others can do as they please, I wouldn't recommend it.  After all we are in net to stop pucks, why would anyone want to lose coverage? Either way...

    We can move on now.

  3. There are ways to put your suspenders ONTOP of your chesty like I do without it hindering your floaters, you don't need to be a rocket scientist to know that. You do NOT put it ontop of your damn floaters it will eat up inches on your coverage. If you have issues with your chesty it's not for you sorry...that's reality.  Picture for attention on how it should be worn.

And YES floaters make a huge difference, and it stops plenty of pucks... that's why it's there and when worn properly you will notice especially on the shooters  picking corners.

Judging by their feedback it's just a scam. Sideline has gone to hell in a real quick hurry. They took away commenting on posts which actually went a long way in calling out peoples BS when they would try to pass something off as something better than it was. They also just let businesses spam the hockey section with 7 year old equipment they are still trying to sell for retail price.

I've put some items on there, ppl try to low ball you. Ppl also harass you on there if they seen your gear around other places, basically telling you to drop your price as if they are trying to sell which is pretty funny, I tell them to f off. I'm also not giving a company 10% off my sales when there are plenty other ways and places I can sell for free. No thanks.

I dunno about online. But in store, yellow marked down stickers on lots of stuff.

Pro hockey life does a really really bad job in marketing, and keeping track of inventory from store to store and online, they also make no damn sense!!!

For example, they have a crap load of skates in store which I saw BUT you can't buy it online if you wanted because they don't have your size.  For example also, if you wanted a product and they don't have it online.....but you know one of the stores 100 KM away has it but not the one 15 KM away they won't ship it for you and will charge you shipping!Which ties to my first point.  It's really messed up.  I argued with them on multiple occasions....I try to stay away from that sore.  Plus I think there are other stores that will get you the better deal like Dukes.

Like you also said, if they mark stuff down in store do it online as well.

Most of the big brands prevent cross border shopping on there gear. Unless you have a friend or relatives who address you can ship to to. I tried to order some pro return sticks from goalie monkey USA a couple of years ago and they cancelled the order as they couldn't ship them out of the USA. Only the smaller brands let the folks from south border buy up here.

Also once you get into personal shipping away from stores and company's you lose out on any deal as the shipping rates can be alot higher. Canada Post just jaked there rates up, after there lovely strike and UPS/FedEx are an absolute joke when  it comes to shipping over the border. When the strike was going on I sold a pair of pads to a person  in Manitoba, the cheapest courier rate I could find from Ontario to there was $125.

Tell me about it, I couldn't order from goaliemonkey either back when the Canadian dollar was higher...but found a friend. Now it's not worth it.

I had to ship knee guards to a guy in the States..32 bucks!! And prices are going up as you said. But for the guys in the States it's worth to buy here.
