hows everyones thoughts on the 1s chesty?  flexible? Bulky? mobile? let me hear it!

From what I saw when put it on, very light, not bulky, mobile, but durability wise I don't think it will last.

  3. Isn't it the same way when people buy a certain equipment that their favorite goalie wears? Same thing (sorta), sure some might see it as "stealing" an art work by a creator, but that's up to the painter discretion when he takes such a job.  Some are not per-say "artists" but are there to grab a dollar.  While others won't do it.

Take at as you want, people are not there stealing I don't think (the ones who wear it).

Plus everyone is entitles to there own opinions on this topic....people been stealing for hundreds of years, if it's an issue put a patent on it and sue.  That's their problem not ours.

  4. @SaveByRichter35 I think these things happen at random times.  I'm 36 and like you playing hockey young but mostly on the streets, ice hockey for only 8 years now in net, but I have played other sports, from volleyball to baseball, soccer, tennis...I'm very athletic.  I have had minor injuries in other sports (one major in volleyball landing on my ankle) but with hockey it's then luck of the draw I find.  I had one major groin poll and the other...well the players on the ice we need to worry about.  A guy landed on me while on the butterfly and rolled my knee! The most pain I ever felt! Was out for over a month, let it heal on it's own.  Best thing is to keep in shape I find!

    Lucky you, keep going strong!

  5. @BadAngle41 They are an improvement from the set back 2-3 years ago, the older supreme.  They do sit better and don't move around as often.  I hardly get hit on my knee guards, maybe twice in the last 6-7 years, so I can't comment on the protection but they feel good.  They do have padding there but it doesn't bulge out like the 1S did (it plays apart of the unit), a spot for the knees when going down.  I don't find it bulky at all.

if i order a custom set of ef3 from ccm, could i ask for specific pro strapping setups? like holtbys or the p2 quick motion?

They will only do what's being offered on the customizer, we are not pros, reality check haha I know it sucks but that's life

    1. That's a hell of a last name

    2. The right leg pad looks like it's already indented. Is that just an illusion?

    haha

I remember going to my local hockey store in weeks passed and there was a bin filled with Bauer blocker and gloves that were defected...I hope that's not the case

This is why I hate glove closure explanations.  I feel like everybody is all over the place.  I always understood 590 as 60-degrees, 580 as 90-degrees, and 600 as 75-degrees (thanks to Lefevre/Koho/Reebok/CCM for massively confusing model numbers).  With 60-degrees being the "baseball" style closure.

All I know is I have a background in baseball and was awesome at catching, but I tried a Reebok 590 (60-degree) and I couldn't get a puck to land in the pocket, worst glove ever (for me).  I then had a Warrior G2 75-degree and my glove hand was never better.  I upgraded to the G3 75-degree, which is still great, but slightly off from the G2.  Someone posted the G2 was more like a Vaughn Velocity while the G3 was more like a CCM (didn't clarify which break).

    Oh well.

You sure you played baseball? Because if you did the 590 would be it!

this post was bad luck.  Went into the butterfly last night and "pop" there goes my left knee again.  I'm assuming it's my MCL but scheduled an appointment just in case.  It's not nearly as bad as my first one and I don't think even as bad as the second time I did it (other leg).  Might even just be some scar tissue popping.  We'll see.  But I'm assuming I'm off for 4-6 weeks now.

Just like that? Go down and pop?

Balance is way better than 1S. This sits effortlessly on the scale

It's ridiculous how light the stick feels, but one good slapper to the right spot and it will disintegrate.

THe S27 felt nice as well, not as light but looked good.

Had that exact thing happen to me, although it was the old school butterfly... was during practice and during power-play practice.  A guy who actually made the NHL later, (Jim McKenzie) fell on me... my feet did not release forward and I went sideways... my hip getting WAY too close for comfort to my ankle.  I was 17 at the time, and so began my lifetime of knee pain.

It's the worst feeling ever! I think that some how luckily I came out alright in the end and I'm 36, pretty active.  Sorry for your knee pain though!
