Decided to play in the new chestie after flapping my arms around the house for about 45 minutes. Since I hadnt been on the ice since the beginning of August it seemed as good a time as any to take it out for a spin. Other than putting on my mask, no real issues with mobility that I felt. I took a few heavy shots in the arms and belly, felt the sense of an impact but nothing more than that. 

Second game update:

Played another game in the Brown. This time I was facing off against a much faster team, and my team had 2 subs. The only stiffness is when I go to put on my mask, or jersey. This will likely go away as it breaks in more. I also feel like my downward vision is a little bit worse currently. Arms are perfectly mobile to me. I dont think the unit is that much hotter than my Battram overall.

Third game update:

I decided to take a hot shower while wearing the unit to break it in more inbetween game 2 and 3. Mostly working the shoulder floaters and arms. I definitely made sure to copy the movements of putting on a mask. This made a huge difference in my ability to get my mask on and off, and took away that new unit stiffness. Game 3 was a short bench so I saw a lot of pucks. I also noticed my gripe with downward vision lessened. 

Received my Chestie today. Fit is spot on and very mobile out of the box. Can touch my nose/drink a beer in it.

I picked up a used Itech 9600 shell for $70, because I wanted to do a little refurbbing and a XL Brown 2200CA for $100.

It sounds like it has been going on since 2017, allegations of poor quality coming from Wall Finland by Wall USA, allegations of 3rd party units sold by Wall USA by Wall Finland. Some W8s may have been made by a US based mask maker.  

I have a second-hand Wall W8 that was made in late 2014.

Just came back from a 4 year hiatus from sacroiliac joint injuries.Happened on the most routine save possible and basically dealt with pain everyday since then. Friend asked me to join a draft league back in March and I had a week to get ready to play again.

It looks like a 950 due to the ear holes being aligned. 

I lost 2 championships last week, can I still be in this thread? 

The first was partially due to a very poor sharpening job that left me unable to get into my normal stance. The second was just many flukey bounces and general ineptitude.
