I certainly prefer this setup on the back.

Yeah, the Passaus clone is alittle more simple.  Not sure if Boddam will be making my unit full time.  Thought they were going to though.

Love this unit. Just as comfortable and protective as my lacrosse one. Great movement as well.  Still working on the final strapping set up but it's almost there.

How's the new chesty working out?

  3. Bought Eagle Fusions.  They were great flat faced pads just werent for me.  I've always been better in softer pads.

Selling most of my old stuff is big regret.  I used to have a pair of areoflex pads back in the day.  Sold them and my koho 550 pads.  Should have hung onto more gear.

I just ordered a Refuze chesty. I’m excited to try it out. I’ve used their lacrosse gear for years and love it.

You won't be disappointed.  Been really happy with mine.  Let me know how you like it once you get it on the ice.

Realized I still need to weigh mine.  Hopefully get to that this week.

  5. Picked up these pads from a great seller willing to ship to me.  Yes I know they are original Eflex but for me its major upgrade after refusing to move on from my Boddam hybrids.  Had two pairs of them over the last 6 years.  Figured i was due to get with the times.

Sticks from AGS.  They look decent, will see how they hold up.

Cleaned up the pads and removed pad skins.  Still on fence about em but ill force myself to use 10 times before bailing and going back to old ones.

    Hello everybody!

Is there someone out there who can please tell me what brand and model these pads and gloves are?

The goalie is Russian prospect Denis Khlopotnov, born 1978, and I think the picture is from around 97-98.

Thanx in advance guys and girls!

Looking at the pads i wanna say Kay but thats a total guess.

  7. @TheGoalNet finally put the chesty on the bathroom scale. I just put it on the scale, no basket.  Dont think the scale is too accurate.  Came in at 5.5lbs.  Seems light compared to other models.  Might check with Jason at Boddam to see what he says weight would be.

Any chance you have a scale?

Just a standard floor scale.  Not sure if i can get an accurate reading off it.  Ill try.

Quick note.  Been using the chest full time now.  Break in was quick.  Still quite happy with it.

  9. finally got out on the ice with the new chest protector.  I was injured for 5 weeks.  Anyway, very mobile out of the box.  Protection from shots i received was great!  A little stiff in the belly when in my crouch but with time that should break in nicely.  Found rebounds were alittle issue with new foams but once again. I think it will change as it breaks in.
Fit is good. Switched the large in pics above for a medium with loop attached to back plate. When trying it at home, it felt like the back needed to be pulled down more.  Dont notice it when on the ice though.  Same for the arms.  Much tighter than the old unit but didnt notice it 5 mins into the skate.  All in all, very happy with it after first skate.
