    Vaughn Gear

Ah, yes. Good catch. That brown with the sport gold looks incredible. I like the word VAUGHN in brown, too. It is nice to see them offering cut/stitched on letters. I confirmed with Vaughn for my recent custom order there is a hefty upcharge for non-transfer letters due to time and difficulty. I passed and stayed with a black transfer.

    Vaughn Gear

Looks like SLRs to me. It is fairly normal that pro, jr., and college players get access to stuff we don't. So that alone wouldn't rule out the possibility these are VE8s.

    Vaughn Gear

Wow. Awesome looking set on Vaughn Instagram
  4. Please tell me you snagged this with a dramatic sweeping windmill arm motion...
  5. Wow, that Brians gear is awesome. You look amazing, and nice form in that shot, too.
  6. New Vaughn VE8 gear ordered last week, except the glove is a V6 2200 more or less with the color scheme shown on the VE8 glove. First time in 22 years I'm leaving Boston colors on my gear. I was recently wooed by powder blue and had to give in . Super excited to have two separate sets.
  7. I had a game right after work one day and had to bring my gear . Couldn't pass up the photo opportunity, haha.
  8. My recent Christmas present to myself was my mask paintjob. My team is the Yellow Jackets with all Boston colors. I was pretty pleased with the result. This was the first goalie mask the airbrush artist had painted. It isn't perfect, but I love it.
  9. Got it Well, although it looks like a ramp, the pucks aren't going to "ramp up" of the angle. We tend to not hold our blockers parallel to the ice, they're generally perpendicular to the ice. That said, the ramp will deflect the pucks down, not up. So , if the angle of the blocker is correct and you get used to intentional deflections with the use of the blocker, I'd suppose the angle does its job quite well. Having said that, I'm not sure I remember ever using a flat blocker. I'm a lifelong Vaughn user and have never used any other brand of gloves, pads, chesty, or pants. Other stuff I have alternated with Bauer or Warrior for skates, masks, knee pads, etc. I have both this yellow 2000 blocker and a white 2200 blocker, and they are dramatically different in weight, feel, and liveliness. This 2000 took me a while to adjust to coming from the lighter, more nimble, responsive 2200, but now I like this one so much better. I love how robust it feels. It's a lot beefier and I've grown to prefer that over the 2200, for sure. They both have the same angle or "ramp" so that's pretty consistent.
  10. NCAA pro return Vaughn V6 mitts. 2000 blocker and 2200 glove, which is my favorite glove I've ever owned, dethroning Vaughn's 5500. I also just placed an order for custom VE8 stuff...except I ordered another V6 2200.
