  1. Loo Looks awesome! Nice work. Are you clear coating these, too?
  2. @cwarnar do you think I should melt the knot itself? I'm wondering how getting soaked will affect the knot.
  3. Awesome, thanks so much. I just adjusted mine (in my living room watching Hockey Night in Canada) and measured the length of the chord and mine are 9 inches, which seems to be perfect for my skates and my chord. I have scissors and a lighter in hand about to seal the deal.
  4. So you do have to stretch the chord somewhat to get the velcro on top? Thanks for the response.
  5. @SaveByRichter35 @TheGoalNet @coopaloop1234 Hey guys, quick question for you. I have my new pads and I have installed bungee ties on them, but mine are adjustable so I have to set the length myself. After whatever weaving method you use and you're ready to go to the top of the skate to velcro the tabs together. how taut is each end? Do you have to stretch the bungee chord to reach the top of your skate or does it freely reach the top of your skate? I'm not sure how taut each end should be after weaving and then how much pressure there needs to be pulling on the velcro tabs once they are together. Thanks fellas.
  6. Thanks. Good to hear from you. There was a discussion about it in the Site/Admin thread. They're now trying to avoid junk drawer threads with several different conversations and encourage more specific threads with single conversations. Any recent pics of you in your all black baller gear? One of my buddies is bringing his drone camera to pick-up this coming Tuesday...I'm pretty excited.
  7. @Doobiesnax First off: where ya been? Second off: The Vaughn thread is locked Third off: check out my complete set in this thread.
  8. Thanks :) I'm heading to a public skate tomorrow evening and dressing waist-down to get dialed-in then I get to use them Monday and. Tuesday. Haha, no luck, sorry pal. These are 35+2 (and identical to my V6 36+2).
  9. Pads arrived today and my set is nowcomplete, 17 weeks for pads but only 10 for mitts. I am super excited about them. Only 1 error on the set, no Pro Logos on the pads, but I have them on the gloves. So now I have the controversial VE8 logo on the pads, but I don't mind because I actually like it, plus it matches my gear anyway. Here's some pics with our new jerseys, navy/baby blue Penguins, and socks and my new royal Ventus pants with a navy CCM shell. I also installed Nash bungee toe ties. These pads are awesome. Super light and stiff as a board.
  10. That's what I was thinking. Or, perhaps I could just pull out the foam block and replace it myself with another foam block that with holes that I could drill. The jenpro pocket would have the longer, slider cut-outs but that would be pretty irrelevant at that point if the foam block is switched. This seems like something that can be made from Home Depot for dirt cheap. It seems silly to buy a toe tie set-up. GRRRRRR.
  11. Hmm. Let me rephrase: I have pads with a sliding toe bridge, can Prolaces be installed?
  12. Has anyone installed Prolaces on a sliding toe bridge?
  13. Heat is my concern with all of these, especially long sleeved ones. I run really, really hot and sweat profusely regardless of what I'm wearing on my base layer.
  14. Nice. Looking forward to your comments.
  15. Curious, as well. I recently stumbled upon them on goaliemonkey and I'm intrigued. I've never worn one but the thought popped into my head recently.
