  1. @TheGoalNet Any chance you could play us a clip of installation of the TuneFit Connect strap on the pads and also connecting it when you’re wearing it?
  2. So @Punisher Goalie what was the verdict on this? I just bought a brand new 1X glove so I’m interested. Haha. Way to bring back an old thread, right?
  3. Thanks for the suggestion. I’m going to try to get my break one the green line as you suggested and see what happens.
  4. Yeah at this point, I’m trying to decide if I should keep it or replace it. Convincing my wife that a new glove is needed won’t be easy...haha
  5. Did you have any issues with your T looking like mine?
  6. Yeah it’s a one90 and like yourself I ce been having a hell of a time trying to pick up the puck. I honestly thought it was me until I figured out that T looks like the pics above. Basically I’m just pushing the puck because my T doesn’t wrap around the puck to pick it up. I broke it in and love using it but this issue is making second guess if I can fix it or should I get a new glove.
  7. @dualshowman sure thing. Here you go. IMG_0961.MOV
  8. Thanks for keeping this thread going. You have my full attention. Haha. With all this free time, I’m definitely interested in repairing the break in my glove. My biggest issue as I mentioned is that the T closer is so offset. I’d like them to close together so I could pick up a puck off the ice or hold my stick in the Turco grip properly. @dualshowman thanks for all this insightful info.
  9. @thebigm How long have you been using it and how is it holding up? I'm very interested in this product as well.
  10. I added one as well to my 1X pads for that same reason. I'd love this option because I'm not 100% comfortable attaching my professor strap to the cord that runs through the pad. My strap is nylon and I'm worried it's pulling too hard on the cord. All that to say, if these were included, that's a great option to have much like Brian's did with the Optik 2s.
  11. Are those tabs for a professor strap (or rotation strap) I've circled in blue? Sorry for the yellow color, I tried to highlight it and it didn't work so well with the red backdrop of the pads.
  12. Same here!!! It’s pretty disheartening to know such weak materials are used for a product that cost so much money. However...I love the performance I get from my 1X pads. 😁
  13. @redrook I've got the same issue with my glove as you mentioned. So my glove closes fine but the top of the T are offset when I close which makes me think I made the break in the wrong place. And in reference to wavy palm, I fell like the crease in my palm is wavy if that makes any sense. I'll try to post some pictures when I get home from work. I'm not sure if my glove can be fixed either. I'm hoping so as I love it but I can't pick up a puck off the ice to save my life because of the two sides of the T not closing together.
  14. I'm using Bauer 1X and love them. Very comfortable. I wear mine under socks and they're great. I use the garter belt that was included and they've never moved.
  15. @Drew37 Any stingers? I know there's curv composite (I'm assuming in the palm but I can't find much info on this glove) but without the Poron XRD, I was curious if the 2X would be fine protection wise. What did you upgrade to? If your glove is still for sale, let me know.
  16. I was very fortunate to get my 1X's. I was at a local retailer when I came across a set of Total One's on clearance. I made a low ball offer to the store manager to buy them and he accepted. Used those for my winter season. After roughly 40 games I read about defects with those pads on GGSU and thought I should check mine as I noticed a bubble across the width of the Total One's at the knee. Sure enough my pads had cracked inside the pads. After speaking with the retailer and not getting any help from Bauer, I followed-up with Bauer. I think I just got lucky because I spoke to someone at Bauer in quality control who stated they were aware of the defect and agreed to replace my pads. They were supposed to give me S190 pads but didn't have any available at that time. So after going back and forth with them, to make a long story short, I ended up with my 1X's.
  17. Thanks. I did a lot of reading of posts in forums and asked some equipment repair folks before doing it. Ended up buying a roll of Tear-Aid type B vinyl repair off amazon. This stuff is great and holds up well. I'm starting to see some of the patches come off at the knee but for the most part, it's still holding and protecting the binding as needed. No sign of it coming off around the boot yet. So far for a skate cut, I used E6000. It's held up well too. Yeah I love how well these perform. Sliding and rebounds have been awesome. Again, just hoping they will last me a long time.
  18. I'm in the same boat @1C5. I have a set of 1X pads that I love using and *knock on wood* have held up well since I started using them last year playing 2 - 3 times a week. Thanks for asking this very question as I was curious as well. How have your 1X's held up around the binding at the knee? I try to take care of my gear as much as possible and went as far as to place some vinyl repair patches over the binding to help maintain them. I've also placed some around the boot as we've seen so many crack there. I figured, better to reinforce it before any cracks happen.
  19. I'm having this issue with my knee falling off the block due to the elastic stretching too much on my 1X's. I'm thinking of adding a professor strap to keep my knee on the block. My be an easier/cheaper solution than adding a leather strap.
  20. @BonesDT Thanks for this comparison of the senior models. You don't often find info on units at this level so it's great to see this. Have you had any issues with stingers in your G4 Senior unit? I haven't had any in my G4 Senior yet but going into my second season with it this fall and if I find the protection lacking (specifically in the arms is what I'm thinking), I'll be deciding between replacing it with the GT2 Senior or beefing the biceps/forearms with D30.
  21. Awesome, thanks for posting this. I have a G4 Senior and tuck my chesty. In reference to your 2 loops in the stomach area, I use those to attach the G4 chesty to my RBK 11K pants. The pants have internal ABfit clips and when I attach my chesty to my pants, the connected feeling helps keep everything together which is how I like it. Nothing feels loose or floppy. The stomach loops are a little small for my ABfit clips to fit through so I've gone as far as to tie a skate lace loop to the stomach loops and now I run my Abfit clips through the skate loop to tie them all together. I can't wait to hear about how it feels after a few skates.

    @motowngoalie Where is it??? haha
  23. Sorry, I thought you were comparing GT1 Senior and G4 Senior. Gotcha!
  24. @coopaloop1234 Can you elaborate on what you mean by plastic components? Where are they and what differences did this make between the G4 and GT1? I have the G4 senior unit so I'm curious.
  25. I'm certainly interested to see how you make out with this. I've been eyeing this stuff for goalie skates for a little while and there's very little information on it. Can't wait to see how progress goes.
