Netnewbie Posted December 15, 2019 Posted December 15, 2019 I am wondering if there is a data base of pads models and makes to tell them apart? Or is it more of something that is learned over time?trying to find info is like a needle I a haystack. Ps I love this site and all the willing help everyone provides!
seagoal Posted December 15, 2019 Posted December 15, 2019 What type of information on pads are you looking for?
Netnewbie Posted December 15, 2019 Author Posted December 15, 2019 Is there a guideline saying this is how you tell them apart. Level, years made lines made if that makes sense. Example bauer lines like the Supreme, vapor, s? Lines?
Netnewbie Posted December 15, 2019 Author Posted December 15, 2019 Guess what I am trying to say is it would be nice to have a reference as oppose to dropping a line here all the time saying hey what are these they any good kind of thing
ZeroGravitas Posted December 15, 2019 Posted December 15, 2019 There are some catalogs uploaded (https://www.thegoalnet.com/files/category/1-files/) that might have what you're looking for. It only goes back a couple years though. I have bunch more, but I'm too lazy to upload them.
bunnyman666 Posted December 15, 2019 Posted December 15, 2019 No database I know about. How far are you wanting to go back. Vaughn has odd nomenclature. The real “pro” equipment now has carbon in the name, but that is only recent. Bauer Reactor was easier to figure out low level to pro, i.e. low numbers to high. Reactor 2000, 4000 and 6000 were low level, senior and pro respectively. Brian’s uses “.0” nomenclature for senior in general; Net Zero is their sub senior line, but I think it is now intermediate and junior gear these days.

Long story short I'm looking for a new to me set of pads and just want to be as educated as I can be. I am saving up and in the mean time I would like to get educated so I can find out how oldish they actually are.

What are your parameters? Size, colour, features?
