Jonathon v
Only used these pads like less than 20 times. I do not have socks to put over my knee guards, never done it either and wouldn’t know how to or if I would hate the feel.
Md30
It sounds like you already know the velcro from your knee pads has caused this. Its up to you to decide on what is best.
Puckstopper
That's normal wear if you're not covering your kneepads. I had the same in my EF4 set very quickly. Removed the fraying with scissors and a lighter and started wearing socks over the kneepads. End of problem and there was no adjustment to wearing socks other than remembering to pack them. GoalieNut
Wear compression pants over, you won't go back and you'll be wondering why you never did in the first place.
benner33
I started wearing the nylon (non wool) socks for that exact reason. I used to put them under my compression pants but now that I wear Daredevil hockey cut resistant pants I didn’t want to stretch them out (plus they have grippy stuff on the knee to keep things in place). covering the Velcro is the only way to avoid this AFAIK. Chenner29
Take a lighter and make a few quick passes over the stray pieces. it's cheap, light duty nylon. You should wear socks or compression pants over your knee pads if this bugs you.
