Ccm is turning their focus towards younger goalies rather than demko and markstrom.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Demko in Brians again since he wore it from a young age. Markstrom spent a really long time in Bauer, and now that the 90 degree glove is no longer a separator (yes I know pros were able to get it before but still) I could see him going back too.

  2. Screw certified cateyes. You want the Chicago opinion? Fuck the rules. Pretty much every single one of my friends and I where wearing cheaters by 14 or 15. Cateyes for 16s and 18s. We all had backup certified cages, that pretty much only ever got used in tournaments out of state.

  3. I think another thing is that people will buy 90s and see how they are, decide they don’t like them, and go back to what they had. The 90 will be flying off shelves for a year or two, but just because they fly off the shelves doesn’t mean they’ll stay on hands. It won’t be for everybody who tries one.

Yeah that's what I'm saying. The only vaughn it resembles to me is the v4 that Quick uses. Staying in the Lefevre family though it looks like my Koho 585.

That's the Tuuk that 'reacts' to skating style, right? Hard to have guys in the NHL switch to something that flexes or whatever while skating. I'll look for it at youth levels first then these kids will eventually carry it onto the NHL.

The new helmet is better than the 1. Again, hard to have NHL guys (creatures of comfort) change up their stuff. Same with youth carrying it into higher levels.

My kids' teams mostly use the Bauer 150 helmet as they do team orders. The under $200 price for that helmet is a welcome addition to the nearly $1000 annual uniform cost per kid. The Hyperlite is closer to $400 I think.

The new holder is actually supposed to be stiffer and move less through sharp turns and hard cuts, unlike the current holder. Still your point stands though that they’ve been used to something since they were kids essentially

I'm probably the closest thing to a True/Lefevre fanboy on this site and my opinion is that this graphic is inexcusable.

Worse than launch with those awful 12.1/20.1 graphics

I didn’t think 12.1/2 graphics were all that bad? The 20.1, forget it, those looked like shit. This takes the cake however. If you add literally any color to these this is what comes to mind:AB4CE550-07F6-46C9-9B94-2BC0BD58A486.webp.d5da1689619771088c44f2434e0be889.webp

So basically the goalie pad version of the worst jersey of all time.

Steel is a big blind spot for me. As stated above, should have gotten into this earlier.

When you say harder? What's the benefit, it'll hold an edge longer?

The harder the steel, the better the edge retention. All of the nicer steel is harder so it lasts longer, its harder to nick, etc. LS5 black is pretty much just stainless with a black coating on it. Its really not great steel

A lot of players have the tuuk holders on ccm and true boots

First I've seen it. And I work at a hockey store. With thousands of custom player skates coming through.

Looking at that knee bend, it just doesn't seem right, kinetically and ergonomically speaking. Our legs fold at the ankle and the knee joints. It should be a straight structure from above the ankle up to the knee area itself and then a break or bend above the knee to close that gap/5 hole. Just my opinion. I've seen it done before in the past. Makes more sense. I even notice it on my Warriors.

Shits almost a 90 degree angle

    So.....

Why is True just remaking the G4 line?

Can't wait to see the diehard True fans defend this graphic

Nah that looks brutal no matter what brand is on it.

Agree though can’t wait to see the Lefevre-for-lifers say this is original and doesn’t look like crappy rainbow candy cane
