@A.YOUNGoalie13: very well done. Snob righties....they just dont realize how hard it is to cope on this right handed biased planet. Going to start an organization:

American/Canadian Civil Liberties Union for Lefties...ACCCLUL. Might have to work on the name. :)

    Forgot Gilles Villemure.

The name draws extra attention as far as I’m concerned… just like when people see us on the ice

It's also better than the SFS special editions we get north of the border where they will stiffen up the pad more. That goaliesplus spec sounds amazing but with shipping and conversion to Canada it's a non-starter for us north of the border.

Even with them being at the second price point?

That's a pretty sweetod for a mid level pad. 👌

IMO their special editions are the best. They don't just change the color they actually change specs so its cool that they offer additional pad styles.

I'm starting to look at some new pads to replace my decade old Vaughn velocity V4s. I have a narrow butterfly and the V4s I am using have a double break and are a pretty soft pad. More modern pads seem to have done away with double breaks, but are there any models that would be more friendly to someone with a narrow butterfly (probably something more curvy and flexible instead of boxy and straight)?

Goalies Plus does special edition models with double breaks. They have eflex 5s on sale. They had Vaughn V9s as well but those must be getting replaced with a V10 version since I didn't see those on the site anymore.

Quick update: The new eflex 6 has double internal breaks and a single outer. Think Quick spec.

I think there’s a YouTube video by iceicegoalie about him drawing on his mask, I think that’s his name I may be wrong

The sabres did a video where Levi explained what he did. He used sharpies (I would guess the paint ones not the regular version) so I'm not sure about the longterm durability of the design.

  6. It's come to this. After taking far too much bullying and slander from the likes of "respected" veterans of the goal net, such as @seagoal@coopaloop1234, @Chenner29, and many others, I have decided to create a left-handed sanctuary. It willed be filled with love for the better handed goalies, with pictures of actually good style from likes of Jonas Hiller, all the way to the mix matched disaster that was now Hall of Famer Tom Barrasso's setup. It's not our fault that we're all just way better, cooler, and more intriguing than our boring "regular" counterparts, and its time we rise up against the sheep!!!

  7. So everyone remembers the cool Levi story from this season when he drew has mask right? Well, how long do we think this would last if he wore it for practices and games? I imagine when hit the marker would rub right off but I guess the beauty of it is that you color it right back on. Just curious to hear thoughts since many cheaper wrap options are not highly reviewed and nowadays you can't seem to touch a paint job for under $300 unless you do it yourself.

Vapor90 users - quick question! I just got my glove and used it for the first time yesterday - have you found that the glove doesn't seal the ice when freezing the puck?

It seems I can either put the palm/heel of my hand down on the ice, but then the pocket of the glove is off the ice and the puck could slide out the front, or I can put the pocket down on the ice but then my heel is up and it could slip out the back.

    Thoughts??

I wouldn’t be worried about that. You should be getting your stick in front of your glove when you cover anyway. As long as the glove catches pucks you should be set

I don't have an order number. I went through a Bauer rep. 50 days today. how many days from payment date were you?

I have no idea. Mine was a employee purchase program. You should have an order number somewhere, maybe if you ask the rep they could get it to you.

when were your order and payment dates...just curious to see if the timelines are matching up to when I can expect my set.

If you give Bauer a call and hit extension 1 for order status you just give them your order number and they can let you know where your stuff is at in the process!

You mean other three? They had 4 goalies on the ice for the celebration and cup raising.

    Hill

    Quick

    Brossoit

    Thompson

I did have a good chuckle seeing Quick hoist the cup before Hill.

Was a respect thing plus I think everyone knew Martinez would give it to him or the reverse.

Well shit, looks like @netminder was right, Canadian goalie holding the cup at the end.

Quick has the most cups ever by an American born goalie so netminder can suck my American nuts. Bob would’ve won the conny over Hill imo
