I know he uses cages from Otny.
-
How do you like it? How long did it take from ordering to receiving? Thanks!
-
I've overlayed the Sportmask cheater cage in blue over the Otny cheater cage in silver. Looks like the bars just to the outer side of your eyes are further to the side for the Otny. Obviously the center bars are wider apart on the Otny. However, I put up a couple of chopsticks where I suspect the Otny center bars will be and I didn't find it to be in the vision at all. The lowest horizontal bar for the Otny looks lower as well, providing a less concentrated lower area. If I don't like it, I'll just buy Sportmask cage and replace. The Otny cage comes with stainless steel clips and screws, and neoprene washers....so it seems to be great quality.

I contacted him. He uses Otny cages. I decided to roll with that.

Please let me know how that goes. I'd like to do the same. Do you know where he gets his cheater cages from?

About a month ago, he said 40-42 weeks for me when I first ordered. Looks like the wait is shrinking for me orders

Too bad for me. I just bought EcoPro neck guard instead
-
I missed that. Thanks!

Can you make a video of the thing in action? That would be sweet.

Wondering if there is a noticeable difference with the lack of vents...

Thanks for the feedback!

Has anybody had experience with playing with a glove before and after floating T? Any noticeable differences? Recommended?
-
Does the foam that comes installed work well or do people recommend replacing with Maltese?
-
Cool thanks! Will check it out!

Did you end up figuring out how to remove it? Any idea what the best foam for masks are these days for protection?

A pair of Mechanix gloves

Thanks for all the responses! So interesting. I was using an RBK 9K chest protector tucked into RBK 11k pants. I used the front buckles to pull up the pants and connect to chesty. I added a buckle in the back to connect the chesty to pants. Worked for me. I just got a Vaughn Epic 8800...was messing around with it. Ended up having it over my pants with the pants cinched up as tight as possible. Felt way more mobile twisting my body from side to side.

Hi there, I've been using my internal belt for my pants and also loops that connect it to my chest protector. I'm looking to potentially move to a new chest protector and pants, but am unsure how things are done these days. What are people rocking in terms of keep their pants on and up these days? Thanks for the tips.

I'm also curious about the answer to this. Thanks

Hi Patrick Thanks for your message. I have been contemplating on how I could reduce the chances of concussion....and I could only come up with trying to avoid the puck. I read somewhere that I should try to get it square in the cage to distribute the impact. Makes sense, but also seems crazy. Your tip of tucking in the chin makes a lot of sense as the head and body would act together as one body of inertia. Thanks so much for this.
