IMO - the last thing I've ever complained about on chest/arms units is the backplate. Not sure why they chose to devote the time/engineering/capital here when the protection level in the arms of their retail units has always been lacking.
They really should just bring the AB18Pro to retail and be done with it.
From what I recall trying one of these on years ago, these fit pretty big. I would have gone with a medium and I’m 5’11. Don’t know my arm span offhand
Same here, my hand feels locked in to a handshake position on a Bauer 580.
The Lefevre gloves seem more ergonomically friendly. The hand is pitched slightly backward and there is more separation between forearm and blocking surface cuff.
Also the cuff angle against your forearm, we didn't get a pic of this.
The Lefevre flares forward on the thumb side whereas the Bauer does not.
Hand position in the Lefevre felt slightly tilted back, gave glove a more open feel
