Pour hot water in it and close it and wrap it closed with stretch wrap. Some people call it the “keeps” method but I refuse to use that name because to me it’s ridiculous that we give somebody credit for something people have been doing for decades
  2. I had been using the Quick but I've come to really enjoy the Mrazek
  3. Yup, I use a SUMO also. Awesome bag. Not useful for flying though because the pads don't go inside.
  4. I’d consider repair but then I’m just not going to be able to trust it. If I wasn’t just going to my local rink it’d be one thing but when I’m stuck in another state trying to get home I need something I can 100% depend on. I shot a message over to them yesterday and they said there was a warranty and they’d take care of it. No specific details yet. Will update when I hear more.
  5. Wait, you said you had to drag it? Why do you need to drag a wheeled bag? If its the one I linked to, the description says to put the pads on top... which obviously isn't useful for flying
  6. Looks like he edited it: I still don't know why there's mention of Bauer, but I guess it's better than it was. Still, looks like he listened to me (and the likely huge number who called him out on his mistake).
  7. Not bad! That video is... okay. I guess if you have a CCM glove at least. The Brian's I had and the Passau are quite different so it wasn't as helpful.
  8. This one? http://www.icewarehouse.com/CCM_Pro_Goalie_Wheel_Hockey_Bag_44/descpage-CPGWB6.html
  9. https://www.tsn.ca/skate-switch-part-of-price-s-rebound-1.935082 Oh boy... Maybe he should have done some research first.
  10. It does, but its stuffed so full I don't think they'd get broken. I dunno, maybe I'll just go back to using a player bag plus a pad bag, or just buy a roller bag. I only need it twice a year. I ended up making it home with the bag. I literally dragged it when I needed to. Right off the rental car shuttle I was able to get a cart, and again once I picked it up from the baggage claim once I was back in San Diego. So it wasn't too bad. Well, the bag itself is still great. Just that trying to make it into a 60lb backpack doesn't work all that well. If it had wheels it'd be fantastic. I love the blue interior so nothing gets lost, and the skate pockets and mask compartment are great.
  11. Unless he has stock NME padding to use, I won’t like it.
  12. I think the holes don’t line up with the profile line. Maybe, but I doubt it. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone using the gel pads.
  13. Those would be cool without the claw marks. With them they’re just stupid.
  14. First trip with this bag.... I don’t know how I’m getting my gear home.
  15. Okay, not a fan of the Passau bag. Nothing that is their fault, it’s just not for me. Construction and quality are great, I love the external skate pocket, but using it as a backpack isn’t fun. The primary issue is that the shoulder straps feel too far apart. Maybe my shoulders just aren’t broad enough. The other issue is what you do if you only need to move the bag 20 feet. Just drag it? Or wreck your back trying to put on a 55lb backpack? Heh. I think I actually liked carrying a player bag plus my Passau pad bag better for travel. Or maybe I should try flying with my Grit with the pad bag? Or a wheeled bag? I don’t know at this point. I feel like all the options suck for traveling on planes with my gear.
  16. Cateye so you don’t look like a goof, and gloss black if your cage isn’t being powder coated, matte black if it is.
  17. Grit, but I needed something to take on planes.
  18. Yes, we are. That’s why I made the original comment.
  19. Sure. It just seemed like I was talking about quality and others were saying “yeah but all these other things that go into a buying decision”
