So Amazon just bought the rights from Rogers. 

Will this affect HNC? Will games only be on demand or through Prime?

It's bad enough that I don't get to watch the games in my native French tongue thanks to private sports channels. I hope HNC will still be a thing.

Just to add to my post above...I got curious and looked up the 2024 catalogue and the Pro Series c/a has been omitted from available orders. The Shadow looks like a mishmash of the Pro Series body with Hyper shoulders and Mach arms.

Am I right to assume that the Pro Series is dead and done from Bauer? 

So while I'm browsing the web, I came upon Pure Hockey and low and behold, they have the Bauer S23 Pro pants custom option (colours, stripes, logos). The price is high in US funds. Is this just a PH exception like the THS or TGC specs sheets? 

The 7.0 demo glove I tried on some months ago felt like butter. 

Maybe too many people messed with that one in the store at THS.

@coopaloop1234 see, that is the issue that I don't want to deal with, unvelcro, velcro, unvelcro, velcro, unvelcro...non-stop until you get it right and unlike a traditional glove, can it really be right? I'm not talking from experience here having not tried on a G5/G6. This is something I have a hard time with in regards to modern chest protectors, too much velcro everywhere, hence why I'm a fan of the Bauer Pro Series or the CCM P1/AB Pro/AB18 or Mckenney, just a couple straps at the shoulders/back.

I know I'll just have to give the glove a try somewhere, sometime before I can give my final impression. If anything, the removable palm would feel like a pro palm in a game ready glove, yes?

I wish the 7.0 glove would have a permanent liner as a custom option. I've heard some say yes, some no. It's very confusing. I'm a fan of the rounded shape and the close hand/glove connection I'm used to with my GT2.

@Teezle I wore my 2S a couple times untucked and it just made me nervous about getting dinged in the ribs on one-timers. It doesn't have the side coverage of a CCM or Warrior. I feel more confident with it tucked.

One thing I realised with pro-returns, the ones with 3 months or less of use, equal ours in looks after 3+ years in beer league

Bringing this back for a question...

I saw someone selling some 12C pants. What sets those apart from the 12A and 14A?

So aside from the small guys: Mckenney, Boddam, Passau, Brown...who else will offer "one-off" custom pants for a client?

By custom I'm mostly talking colours and/or stripes, embroidery etc.

Do any of the big companies do this?

The fact that Warrior now carries only 1 model but that model can be ordered to personal preferences and specs, so the soft crew and the stiff crew, that alone is impressive. If anyone else might end up using the same approach, it would be most likely Brian's IMO.

I forgot to mention...the forearms are much more narrower than that of the 2S. Pro rules? THS said in their videos that these units, which they carried some, were not NHL spec. If you ask me, aside from the shoulder caps maybe, they are very minimal compared to the CCM and new Bauers and Brian's.

this exactly, give or take the person's personal request. Cody said he had 1/3" foam added in high impact areas which should be quite similar to what's said above. To say the least, the most normal and flimsiest part of the c/a is the split flaps at the very bottom. They're almost useless if you ask me. @Teezle, did you keep that part on? I noticed some Vapor 1X units online where the user had removed them.

As my first update, off-ice, I was wrong about the collar, it's the same foam. I was too quick to judge. The back elastics are kinda soft, almost cheap feeling. I will need to replace them for sure. The spine guard, on mine, is very thick. Maybe there's a lot of slashing goalies in the back in Liga? Not sure if I mentioned it initially but the padding that sits under the armpit is quite substantial, again on mine. Will this prevent rib injuries? Not one bit. Maybe it's a form of cheater I'm not aware of? Looking at the lace-in part of the arm that attaches to the shoulder part (it runs through, all shoulder parts and arms) of the Pro Series, compared to the same lace-in part of the 2S, the Pro Series is very thick. It almost feels like too much. Were they thinking that it would add more cushion for blows? Who knows. I've kinda messed with the lacing to give me a little bit more freedom. I might have some extra holes punched in for the extra 1/2"-1" in the near future.

Right below neck guard to bottom = 20.5"

Shoulder width: center to center = 22" and edge to edge is 28"

Arms are 20.5"

These are all approximately, so give or take a notch. I'll try to post a pic tomorrow if possible.
