  1. On the Panthers at Sharks broadcast tonight lmao.
  2. Terrible. I remember him taking the reigns in Philly and going on a tear for a bit there. Condolences to his family and friends.
  3. Keep it up, kid. If anything, I hope this love for the game sticks with you for a long time, like it has for a lot of us on here. I personally found some of the tapes of my games from when I was 8 years old and started playing net majority of the time. It really reminded me of why I fell in love with this position in this sport. Keep stopping pucks and moving from one play to the next. Not every game will be a clean win, not every loss will be a bad game, not every win will be a good game. As long as you know you went out there and were able to give it your all and have fun doing so, you're in for a great time.
  4. A thing I've learned with regards to juggling is that it's not very helpful once you've learned how to do it. You'll need to change it up or add in subsections to it (like calling out the number on the ball you are about to toss that's visible to you, or doing bounce juggling with balls that aren't spherical to make it more reactive). Adding these small changes can help keep your brain engaged and work toward improving tracking. Exercise list right now is all PT based: resistance band training (opening knees, fondas, wall sits, side stepping), exercise ball bridges, single leg presses, barbell squats, split squats (with weight), kick backs. All with the goal of building the glutes and thighs to support the hip bones better.
  5. The True rumor (Trumor?) is that it's somewhere their take on the Konekt skate, somewhere between the two. I think it'll be very good to have two companies trying to push the technology/design in that department.
  6. Someone at Bauer is surreptitiously naming their equipment lines after Sonic the Hedgehog characters. no, I don't actually mean this
  7. I have 'em too (and have also only been in Brian's gloves for like 10-15 years). My side bit here is that I have intermediate internals so all gloves feel strange to me. When I last got to try a 600, it felt a little different from both to me is my main point. My opinions are of course not fact.
  8. Neither Brian's glove are exactly like the numeric breaks. The GNetik/Iconik is a 35 degree/55 degree. Closest to that is probably the Vaughn V10 Pro Carbon stock glove, which I think is a 5500 continuation (please correct me on this). The Optik glove is a 45 degree (per Brian's) and feels pretty close to a 600 break. Most NHL guys wearing Brian's are in the Optik glove, I think it's only Raanta using the Iconik.
  9. I do not recommend this. That ridge can negatively impact seal/rotation in RVH sort of situations where one leans a bit more. Of course, it depends on the construction of the pad and the pant, but it's something I have experienced and was pretty annoyed when the ankle of my pad came up due to a forced under-rotation by the pant.
  10. Baie-Comeau has some of the most fun jerseys in that whole league.
  11. I'm not a huge fan of CCM's products, but this definitely looks like someone took a magic eraser to it. It's not something I had thought about with printed graphics previously, but it would make sense that this could happen with them in such a situation.
  12. I think my least favorite thing on these pants was how the internal belt tightened. The double pull with the overlapping clips was...certainly a choice that felt chunky.
  13. It's still totally messing with me that you're on CET.
  14. Better pictures via the Brian's instagram account. I can't tell if he's using the same calf strap mod he's had on his previous pads, but he stuck to his glove spec of 35deg with anchor-T, add the Thief eyes from the double-T.
  15. All Vaughns: I went from Vision to SLR2 Pro Carbon to SLR3 Pro Carbon pants. The Visions are certainly illegal with a big ridge on the outside of each leg, and I know both my SLR pants are because of their internal belts and they're probably too wide. Both SLR pants are absolute beauts though, only reason I really went to the SLR3 pants is because I got tired of getting bruises on my hips from the little gap the SLR2 had there (hence why you saw a lot of guys in the pros with the double leafed padding on their thighs).
  16. It's also people that have no clue what they're doing.
  17. So what is the main difference between the 12.2/Catalyst and 20.2/HZDUS lines anyway? The seal on both is immaculate. What I know is the stock boot on the HZDUS is 120 degree and stiff versus the Catalyst having 110 degree and soft, and that their outer rolls are different. With how the True customizers are, you can make them nearly the same. So to refine my question: what is the difference in the core, feel, and strapping?
  18. "Retro gear sitings" Anyway, I went through a bunch of my old cards.
  19. Reading these threads has been pretty important and helpful to me. I'm looking at possibly needing to get my left hip resurfaced here, but my doctors and I don't yet know what's truly wrong (I'm suspecting it's labral tears).
  20. This is pretty cool. I really like the M series sticks in handling and passing, but there's a little too much ping when making saves imo. It was alluded to me that Warrior might move to offering a 24" paddle with this stick (thus, 23" in Bauer and True), but I do not know how concrete that plan was. Looking forward to possibly getting to demo these. The G6s were good, but not my cup-of-tea on boot strapping nor knee, loved the calf system though.
